Dojo’s all over the world have their own impressive images of our founder. We are very proud to announce that Harlow judo club have commissioned their very own painting, which is now on display in our Dojo lounge.
The painting was completed by a local artist Olga Zadoroznaja who also gave us lots of advice on the best place to hang the painting.
The unveiling of the portrait on the 19th April was to commemorate our 10th closed club championships in our own Dojo, 46 years for Mick & Gill running the club and 65 years of mat time for Mick.
The short video shows the unveiling by Olga and senior club coach Danny Webb with appreciation from the club members. Kano’ portrait is the first thing visitors will notice when they enter our dojo. We hope Kano will be watching over us all for many years.
