That’s where players go wrong they train only one thing. You need to train all of them if you’re serious about being a good footballer 👍

Agility requires you to be able to change directions quickly but it will never be in the same way each time.

Making sure to train in different movements and directions helps you stay ready for anything on the pitch ⚽️✅

⚽️ Being fast for football is built on the following 4 components that you should be training

1. Running mechanics- this improves your running technique and focuses your body to move you faster more effectively and efficiently.

2. Power & plyometrics- generating force quickly makes you move faster and makes you more explosive.

3. Strength- power = speed x strength. So without being strong your power is weak. Strength also helps you be more robust and resilient in challenges.

4. High speed runs- to get fast you have to run fast. Exposing your body to the intensity of high speed runs is what will make it adapt and develop to be even faster

Off-season is all about preparing your body ready for pre-season ⚽️

You want to focus on the basic elements that form the foundation of your fitness 🏃‍♂️

This isn’t about crazy plyos or balancing acts. You’re supposed to be creating a rock solid core in movement quality and confidence for the more advanced stuff later 🏋️‍♀️

On top of that your conditioning and endurance should be lower intensity. If you go full on with HIIT runs and hill sprints all the time you’ll burn out before the season even starts. You are ramping up to the start of pre-season and the season starting ✅
