Squash club nights are recommending on Tuesday 15th September from 7pm to 8.30pm, we hope as all members will try to attend when possible.
We have created a rota of members for organising the club night, if you would like to help with this please contact Ruth Terry and she will add you to the rota. Every Tuesday!

We held a 100 draw at our recent committee meeting and winners are listed below:

Tennis results for last week 🎾🎾🎾

Tues 14th mixed B v Hempnall close match losing 5-3 the A team played against Diss A on 16th and also lost 5-3.
On Sun 19th the men played Bungay B with a draw but it had to be recorded as a 8-0 win to Bungay as a lady played so we could field a team so the matches she played do not count.

Weds 22nd A team played Cringleford A and lost 7-1.
The men’s team on 26th played Bungay A and result was a draw at 4-4.

Most of the matches have now been completed for the summer season but club nights continue until the end of August on a weds and Fri evening starting at 6pm.

Mixed A v Cringleford lost 6-1 unable to finish the last set due to bad light
Mixed B v Hempnall unfortunately another 6-2 loss

⚫️🎾On Monday 13th the club provided a taster session in both tennis and squash for a group of girls from Harleston Guides.
It was an enjoyable evening for all and we are hoping to see some for the girls on the courts in the future.

**Harleston Hosts Successful South Norfolk Tennis League Doubles Tournaments**

Harleston Tennis Club was delighted to host the South Norfolk Tennis League Ladies' and Men's Doubles tournaments today, welcoming players from clubs across the region for a day of competitive and enjoyable tennis.

Conditions could hardly have been better, with warm sunshine, little wind and, most importantly, no rain. The day began with the Ladies' Doubles event, featuring six pairs representing Diss, Harleston, Framlingham and Wortham tennis clubs. Played in an excellent spirit throughout, the matches produced some superb rallies and entertaining tennis, with all participants clearly enjoying the occasion.

Congratulations go to Bev and Sarah-Jane, who displayed confidence and skill throughout the tournament and were deserving winners of the ladies' title.

Players enjoyed a buffet lunch, while tea and cakes were available throughout the day and proved popular with competitors and spectators alike.

The afternoon Men's Doubles competition attracted nine pairs from Framlingham, Diss, Wortham, Bungay, Harleston and Rickinghall tennis clubs. The teams were divided into two groups, with the group winners progressing to the final. After a series of closely contested matches, David and Andrew from Diss reached the final but were beaten by Ben and Rowan from Wortham, who claimed the title.

Harleston Tennis Club would like to thank all the players for their sportsmanship and enthusiasm, which helped make the day such a success, and wishes everyone an enjoyable remainder of the summer tennis season.
