The Falconry School

The Falconry School The Falconry School is an establishment dedicated to showing best practices in how to care for, handle and - above all - fly birds of prey.

At the Falconry School we provide a range of activities from experience days to falconry tuition, as well as displays throughout the UK and sometimes abroad. Experience days aim to give an insight into the world of birds of prey and to the art of falconry. The falconry courses we offer generally range from 2 to 5 days, although we can provide longer and more specialised courses if required. Whatev

Chris and I attended the full day of falconry school on 23rd May and I’ve been meaning to message some feedback ever since!
We both enjoyed the day immensely and learnt so much from John and Cain. It was fascinating to learn about how to keep a bird at their correct flying weight, and how different one bird is from another. There were so many great birds to meet and my particular favourites were the tiny American kestrel and the little owl! Chris is very keen to keep a bird in the future now, but that won’t be for a few years I expect.
Anyway, we just wanted to thank you and the team again for a great experience and one we won’t forget,

I just wanted to say a huge Thank You to you and your team for a fantastic day yesterday during my photography experience.
Your team were super and their care and handling of the birds was exemplary.
I managed to get some great photos and I am so grateful for the way they involved my fiancé in the day which made it special for her too.
Thank you again, please pass on my appreciation to your team especially considering how hot it was yesterday!

Just wanted to say how much we both enjoyed the falconry experience on Thursday.
Please pass on our thanks to Cain and Lola who were both superb in their knowledge, explanations and communication.
They both clearly cared passionately for the birds - which was a key part of the success of the day.
It was a truly memorable few hours - thank you:)

Just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed Sunday's event. I really had no idea what would occupy an entire day, but it was great. Sorry we didn't get to meet but John did a fantastic job and is clearly passionate about what he does (and Smudge). The weather was crazy, from t-shirt to woolly hat, but that can't be controlled and didn't detract from the great experience.

I hope all goes well for the future

Hello. We just wanted to say that we had the best day ever — it was even better than we expected.
My daughter said it was the best birthday gift ever. When I asked her whether it was how she imagined it would be or if she felt disappointed in any way, she said it was exactly like she had dreamed about.
The whole experience was informative, funny, and absolutely amazing from start to finish. We truly can’t thank you enough for making her day so special 🙂
