Gloucester Aces had another successful event at the Hastings Open that took place on the 1st of March. 🏴‍☠️♦️♣️♥️♠️

Congratulations to Seve Kukielka on his 4th consecutive Hastings Open victory in challenging conditions.🏆

Chris Randell was ever so close to a podium but just slipped away at the final few holes. Another great performance nonetheless. 🍰

Simon Brown continued on from his great performance in Scotland and finished 4 shots off a podium place coming in at tied 10th.🧩

Martin Greenhead had his first outing of the season and it was a solid start, finishing in tied 12th. ⚓️

Luke Ryan had a slightly disappointing day by his standards but still signed off with a top 20 finish in a strong field. ⚒️

It was another 12 points in the club shield at Hastings but things will get tougher as the tour moves on to Margate for the first major of the year, the British Championships. We are expecting to take a squad of 13 players and will challenge in all 5 divisions.

Another event and another 1-2 finish for the Gloucester Aces at the Scottish Open 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 ♠️♥️♣️♦️

Congratulations to Seve Kukielka on winning the first Scottish Open held since 2015. Simon Brown pushed him all the way to a sudden death playoff after a superb day but lost out on the first extra hole.

Elsewhere there was more success, with Tony Davis beating club mate Balazs Tompa in a playoff for Category 2 winner and Matthew McPherson securing the win in Category 3.

There was also some success in the Novice Championship where Chris Palmer, in only his 2nd ever tournament came home with a bronze medal.

It was once again 12 points in the club shield with Chris Randell being the third member contributing to the overall winning average of 28.33.

A great start to the season for the Gloucester Aces at the Thanet Open! ♠️♥️♣️♦️

Congratulations to Seve Kukielka and Chris Randell on the 1-2 finish.

Seve took 1st place for the first time after previously finishing on the podium in his previous three Thanet Opens.

Chris continued on from his brilliant 2025 season with his 2nd place finish.

Luke Ryan also put in a superb performance finishing in 5th place which also secured the 12 points in the race for the 2026 Club Shield.

Balazs Tompa performed admirably after a slow start and shot 2 solid rounds to finish in the midfield picking up 3rd place in Category 2.

Congratulations to Rachel King for her win at the Snowball Shootout after shooting -17.

Rachel tied with Matthew McPherson and beat him at the 4th extra hole and took home the title.

David Woodcock of the Dragons Minigolf Club finished in 3rd to complete the podium scoring -15.

It was an all family affair in the novice category as the Adam family took home all of the medals.

Lucy Adam was victorious with a great 3 round score of -1. Tom was 4 shots back at +3 and Dexter took 3rd after a playoff win vs Maisy Cook.

2nd Annual Snowball Shootout will take place at 10am on Sunday the 21st of December. All players welcome

£15 entry for Adults and £10 for Juniors. 3 Round strokeplay tournament with pro and novice divisions. Blind pairs tournament will also run alongside the main event.

The Portuguese Open stays with the Gloucester Aces!

Congratulations to Chris Randell on winning the 5th Portuguese Open in Vilamoura.

Chris finished on 182 after 5 rounds and beat Germany's Tobias Ramcke at the 3rd extra hole with and Ace at Hole 18. Rick Baird finished in 3rd place on 183.

Last week, four members of the club descended into Prague to compete in the annual Czech Adventure Golf Masters at Horni Bezdekov. 🇨🇿 ⛳️

Everyone had an amazing time representing their club at national level and they all throughly enjoyed their experience. 🤩

We hope to return next year with more members and want to thank the Czech Adventure Golf Tour and the Vlcek family for their wonderful hospitality.

British Open Club Champions 2025!

In what was a closely fought contest over the first 4 rounds of the British Open last weekend in Hastings, Gloucester Aces managed to take home their second club title of the year after a narrow 6 stroke victory from Strokes Minigolf Club.

A huge well done to all 12 players that represented the club over the weekend and we look forward to the next competition in just over 9 days time at the British Championships in Margate. ♠️♥️♣️♦️

Some tournaments at Aces to round up heading into the major season in the BMGA calendar.

Last weekend saw the 2nd annual Aces Summer Matchplay tournament take place.

In the end it was Mark Ingram who defeated last years winner Matthew McPherson at the first extra hole after both players were tied after 18 holes. Mark continues to impress, carrying on from his 2nd place finish in the Gloucester Open back in July. Tony Davis beat Chris Randell in the 3rd/4th place playoff in another high quality game.

Today, Balazs Tompa held a charity event at the course over 3 rounds. A total of £170 was raised from entry fees and donations. Chris Randell came out victorious with Balazs in 2nd and Tony Davis in 3rd after a playoff win again Mark Ingram and Jas Kukielka.
