The Sportsman Cricket Club is a small “village-type” cricket club dedicated to the playing of the Summer Game in the spirit to which it was intended; that is hard, competitive, but always with an eye to good sportsmanship and camaraderie. We play our home games not far away at West House, a small enclosed preparatory school ground, which makes an idyllic setting for a game of cricket. At present,
we don’t take part in a league, instead playing friendly matches against a wide variety of other similar clubs throughout Warwickshire, Worcestershire and beyond. Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds; businessmen, solicitors, dentists, teachers and others. We cater for all abilities, believing that the sum of the whole is greater than that of the individual parts. All we ask of any potential new members is to do your best on and off the field in a true sporting manner.
