Alfie's early season performances coming into light.

Another year indoors, my first indoor competition at the Masters Inter Area Counties Match at the Lee Valley Athletics Centre and a win it was with 14.33mtr.
Consistent 14's was the key, but a little rusty. I think there will be many more advances as the season opens up, just a few tweaks to iron out & I'll be firing on all cylinders.

A bit late, but I was back in the circle today with a very rusty approach. Slow is a good start in finding your feet & rhythm, which is what this discus is about. There are lots of little things I didn't feel in this video, but they are things which in my opinion are vital in speed, transition & balance. More to come - watch this space.🙏🏾😊

Today at Leigh, Alfie Rushton. It was a 55mtr+ throw in the Hammer win & is the EA Regional Champ.

Today at Leigh..Alfie Rushton was in competition in the EA Midlands Regional Champs for the Hammer & Javelin. A fantastic result for Alfie as he starts the 2026 season as he finished in 2025 in good form Alfie won both events & got better as the rounds went on. It was a 55mtr+ throw in the Hammer & his Javelin was a close call as a 46.28mtr took top spot, winning by 8cm, becoming EA Regional Champ for both events. Well done Alfie🎖🏆🎊
