📣 Saturday Results 📣

The 1st XI suffered a third consecutive defeat losing to Burghill by 64 runs. After Burghill got off to a flyer with the bat, some good bowling and fielding pulled the game back for the home side eventually bowling out Burghill for 209. A good opening partnership got us off to a solid start before a collapse of 6 wickets for 39 runs put Burghill back on top, bowling us out for 145.

The 2nd XI travelled to Spetchley Park, bowling first they produced a good bowling display to restrict Pershore to 208 despite only losing 5 wickets. This was followed up with a good batting display, with the chase well and truly on thanks to a first senior half century from Rowan Marchant who went on to score 70. In the end it wasn’t meant to be as we fell 27 runs of the target.

We go again next week, with both teams looking to bounce back! 🏏

This week the 1st team return to The Glebe hosting Burghill 2nd XI, looking to return to winning ways after suffering back to back defeats.

The 2nd team travel to Spetchley Park to play Pershore 4th XI. They’ll be wanting to continue their good form after being in a great position last week before the 🌧️ forced the game to be abandoned!

Special mention for Erin Bradbeer who makes her 2nd XI debut this week 💪

📣 Saturday Results 📣

The 1st team suffered another defeat away to Himbleton. After losing the toss and being put into bat captain Alex Sinderberry-Woods scored a blistering ton, reaching the milestone in just 55 balls, before rain brought pause in play. On resumption of the innings the middle and lower order collapsed looking for quick runs, eventually setting Himbleton 217 to win off 34 overs. After taking early wickets, Hanley looked to be on top before a brilliant 4th wicket partnership from the home side changed the momentum and Himbleton completed their chase with more than 4 overs to spare.

Elsewhere, unfortunately the 2nd team were only able to play 18 overs at the Glebe before the game was abandoned due to rain 🌧️

We go again next week with what will hopefully be a better weekend for cricket ☀️

The 1st XI travel to Himbleton looking to bounce back after suffering their first defeat of the season.

The 2nd XI return to The Glebe and we will want to build on their victory last weekend.

There is the threat of rain for both fixtures this weekend, so let’s hope it stays away 🤞

📣 Saturday Results 📣

The 1st XI slumped to their first defeat of the season 😢 after winning the toss and batting first OE’s produced a fine bowling display to limit the Hanley to 126, captain Alex Sinderberry-Woods top scoring with 34. The OE’s batters set about the chase in a brutal fashion knocking off the runs in 13 overs.

The 2nd XI secured their first victory of the 2026 campaign with a brilliant run chase 🥳 a fantastic bowling performance spearhead by captain Simon Yates restricted Malvern to 202 from their 40 overs. This was followed up by a convincing run chase with 4 overs to spare and 3 wickets on hand, thanks largely to Alex Longhi’s 68* 🏏

We go again next Saturday with the 1’s looking to bounce back and the 2’s wanting to go back to back!

Last night the HBC women’s hardball team secured their first win 🙌 Good bowling and fielding restricted Bromsgrove to 280, this was followed up by a calm batting display with Bella and Nat Knowles going out as the last pair and securing the victory for HBC, finishing on 296/4.
