What a fantastic turnout for our 2025/26 End of Season Presentation!
Despite the weather trying its best to put a dampener on proceedings, the rain couldn't wash away the fun, laughter, and yes... a few emotional tears too.
The day kicked off with the annual Managers vs Parents match. There was plenty of enthusiasm, questionable fitness levels, and enough Deep Heat in the air to be classified as a weather warning. After 90 minutes (or what felt like it!), the managers claimed victory this year and secured bragging rights until next season.
Our free inflatables were a huge hit with both the children and the adultsβalthough we're still not entirely sure who enjoyed them more!
The BBQ was fired up and working harder than some of the players did during warm-ups. A huge thank you to Kurt, Mel and Mark for keeping everyone fed and proving that football isn't the only thing we do well.
Our superstar cafΓ© duo, Ava and Megs, kept everyone hydrated throughout the day, while a fantastic team of parent volunteers worked tirelessly behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly.
Our Saturday morning coaches, clearing tables, emptying bins, running around wherever they were needed.
Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for... the presentation itself! There were medals galore, proud smiles everywhere, and some seriously tense moments as players waited to discover whether they were heading home with a trophy. One of the highlights was watching players nudging teammates and whispering predictions as they tried to guess the winners before the announcements.
There were also some emotional moments as we said goodbye to six incredible managers: Mel, Martin, Ed, Lee, Chun and Devon. After years of dedication, support, encouragement and giving up countless hours for the club, they're hanging up their boots and setting off on new adventures. They'll be greatly missed.
As always, a massive thank you to all our parents and players for being part of the day. The feedback has been fantastic and we're delighted that everyone still had such a great time.
To all our managers, thank you for everything you do. As mentioned on the day, the list of jobs you take on is endless, and the club simply couldn't function without your dedication. The same goes for all our amazing volunteers who gave up their time to help deliver another successful event for the people who matter most β the children.
And finally...
Only 363 days to go until we do it all again!
(Plenty of time for the parents to start training for next year's match...)
