Last week, I took a self-defense class to learn some essential skills that will help me stay safe and protect others I work alongside, including my freelance colleagues and students. 💪🛡️

It’s crazy that we even have to think about learning something like this, but it’s an important step to be prepared for any situation that may arise. I highly recommend everyone give it a go — it could truly be a lifeline! 🙌🔐

I’ve been running chair movement classes for a few months now, and it’s been absolutely amazing to see the positive impact on the older community! 💃✨

From boosting circulation, improving joint flexibility, to enhancing coordination — the results have been so heartwarming! 💙 Even more exciting is the incredible connections and friendships formed in each class! 😊

Week by week, it’s been such a joy to watch everyone socialise, laugh, and move to the music - supporting mental wellbeing as much as its physical impact 🎶🤩

CALLING FOR MY DANCE TEACHING FRIENDS LIVING IN SOUTH OF ENGLAND!

My baby, Steppin' UP Dance, is recruiting for a well experienced Hip Hop & Street dance teacher to join our Steppin' UP dance family.

We have doubled numbers over the previous couple of months, which means we are ready to grow even further come September.

We need teachers who are local to the area [Portsmouth, Southampton etc] that are available weeknights from 4pm of whom can drive and someone who might be able to start a Saturday School with us in the very near future.

We would also be interested in meeting with teachers that can teach early years for daytime classes, cover and workshop leads etc.

We run classes in Fareham, Hedge End, Botley, Hamble, Gosport, Havant & Burridge at the minute but are looking for someone to start new classes in other locations.

This is such a 'pinch me' moment!

UP has grown a crazy amount over the past month or so.... we have full Steppin' UP classes... we have baby classes.... we have adult classes.... we have just produced the most incredible music video in an amazing location.... we entered our first competition in March and came second.... we've been asked to attend multiple events in and around Hampshire over the next few months AND we are just about to host a full scale dance show, raising money for a young people's mental health charity- it really doesn't get better than this!

If this isn't what dreams were made of... I don't know what is!
