Is anyone in the club interested in shooting PRS?
Hi all idea for a PRS course.
Location of a PRS course as in pic.
Single path for shooters to work along like HFT.
Prone stances, off hand, obstacles. Single shot ri**es for safety so no guns in transit with potential to be loaded. Targets at 15,25 and 40m
Differing sizes like HFT
25 targets in total
Could be spinners or knock down or paper targets

The 3rd leg of our Benchrest League took place on the 2nd of Aug.

The organisation of this type event has been a learning curve but, Dechmont have it working smoothly.

We will be expanding this to a open event next year.

If their is interest in future we could consider a weekend event in a similar fashion as to the way other organisation hold there competitions in England. We could be one of the first to do this type of comp in Scotland.

The wind was low at around 6 MPH however, the Aim Points on target was numerous. Shooters were calculating up to 4 aim points to achieve any attempt of hitting that 2mm bull 25 yards away.
Fortunately the rain stayed away and the Sun was out.

Hence the Scores where roughly the same as on a 10-12MPH day.

The Aitken / Bartolo Charity Shoot will be held on the 20th of September at 11am.

£10.00 per head donation to charity . The club will match all money raised and donate to Erskine Veteran Charity.

Food and Drink will be available.

There will be a fun shoot giving the shooter a taste of HFT and Benchrest. Suitable for all levels of shooting ability. Prizes to be won.

If you new David "Sinbad" Aitken or John Bartolo, we love your participation.

This is a open event and all are welcomed.

Hi All the 3rd instalment of our League shoot is this Sunday.

Be there for 9:30 as we will start for 10AM

On Sunday the 5th was our 2nd Benchrest league shoot.

There was 9 shooter following World Benchrest Rules with some few exceptions.

The 2 card event kicked off early at 10am. The weather was less than perfect with 19 mph winds, 22 mph gusts and lots of rain. The last relay we had to use 2 heaters to dry off the targets so they could be scored.

On Sunday past was the 3rd leg of the Bedlay vs DARPC team Benchrest event.

Conditions were incredibly challenging with wind from 15 mph gusting up to 28mph.

Remember, a BR shooter is trying to knock out a 2mm dot at 25 yards with something that weighs 8 to 10 grans.

DARPC won by a slim 10 points.

Halfway and DARPC are a head by 56 points. It's still all to play for.

This Sunday (5th of July) at 10am will be our 2nd Benchrest league event.

This is a 2 card event.

We will be following World Benchrest Rules. https://www.benchrestuk.com/benchrest-rules/

There are only 16 spots. You must reserve a spot. Please PM me.

Exception on the weight and design of the r***e stock will be allowed. There will be no other exceptions.

This is not a springer event. P*P only.

Remember STS are doing there own event in September and if you are planning on going to that, this would be good practice for their event.

The team event will have their qualifications this Saturday the 13th around 12ish for any member wanting to try out for Sundays BR team to be held at Bedlay air r***e club.

Please note: if there is any doubt on making the match this Sundays the 14th ,11:30 to around 1pm, please DO NOT try out for qualifications.
