Of course I had to stop this little guy and ask to try how heavy his bags felt.
Easily 50kg.

These guys are machines.
We think life is tough because we have to go to work in a temp controlled room.

Try carrying 50kg 10 miles uphill with your head.

That was a tough long day today.

Walked about 4-5 hours, tough walk but nothing compared to the 4 hours after lunch.

All uphill.
Imagine the stair master for 4 hours.

And at the altitude we are at the walks are slow but extremely tough on the lungs.

This'll help you realise how tough.
🔹️8-9 hours to walk 15k
🔹️Only 20k steps
🔹️Weather went from 25° to freezing in the space of an hour.
🔹️Couple of the group really struggling with altitude sickness.
🔹️Walking at almost 4000m is horrible. Running would be near impossible.

I say it every day but it just keeps on getting tougher.

And no-one is more consistent or works harder than Lauren and she gets the results her hard work deserves.

My client Sophie showing here how you can change the way you live and feel about yourself in just over 6 months if you really want it.

Physique changed drastically but so has she as a person. More confidence in herself and feeling fitter and stronger than she ever has and now doing things she never believed she would.
Even joining my Tough Mudder team and absolutely smashing it too.

She only signed up originally to help out her friend but absolutely loved the training and found the diet was way easier than she believed it could be and definitely now has the bug.

She has found the mental health benefits that many get from the gym and when combined with the physical and physique benefits too, it's a win win.

What a session for Keren today as she continues on her journey and as you can see she is looking incredible.

We super or tri-setted every exercise and it made it a tough one.
Then we finished with a tough little abs session.

Body weight, body fat and inches dropping as she increases in strength and fitness.

Bang on target.

Iona completed her final 1-1 session with me today before her big wedding day next week and her preparation has gone perfectly.

Just check out her physique.

Watch the full video and see where she started when we first met and where she started her prep in January.

And this was done properly.
I never stopped any nights out as she had a lot on.
Home hen do,
Abroad holiday hen do,
Work events,
Family and social events.

But despite these events and more we had the prep set perfectly so she would be in top condition for every event and then peak at this precise moment.

And it's not just her physique, her strength and fitness is at an all time high too which is what I always promote.

No point in looking great if you don't feel it.

I know these weekly round up posts probably bore you but I put them up as I always like to look back on my past weeks work and see where I can make improvements and to celebrate my clients successes as they are incredible.

Whether it be new or old clients, Progression group session clients, pt clients, Progressions own pt's Gill and Alex, anyone who is attached to myself I'm mega proud of you all.

🔹️The results we get week to week is incredible.
🔹️Progress pictures are incredible.
🔹️The strength and fitness results are incredible.
🔹️The mental health gains are incredible.
🔹️Our clients workrate is incredible.
🔹️The hard work put in by our pt's is incredible.

You're all at different stages of your journey, all with different goals, all with different levels of ability, all different shapes and sizes, all different ages but you all mix superbly and all get equally incredible results.

To me there is nothing better than seeing a client happy on holiday and confident in their bikini.

And I'm extremely proud to show this one.

Rebecca looks stunning and to me has a perfect bikini body.

She has curves and it suits her perfectly.

Rebecca is an incredible young woman. She has dealt with more in her life than most could ever imagine but has come through it stronger and put her trauma to good use by becoming a nurse and I've a lot of time for her because of who she has become.
💪
When we first met I realised my main importance with Rebecca was to help build her confidence in herself and with that her physique would develop too and I did this with some tough training sessions designed to push her limits and make her realise she could do anything she put her mind too.

And over the years she has had a good few body transformations with me and every time as incredible as the last.

Rebecca is exactly what I try and promote through DCPT and Progression Fitness.
You might not always look your best but as long as you're happy with your physique and confident and happy in yourself then that's all you need.
And when the time comes, holidays etc you just need to step it up a gear for a short period of time and you'll quickly be back to your best.

This comes from having the knowledge in your diet, the proper training that works well for you and proper guidance.

We may not get to train every week just now due to your work etc but you still keep in touch regularly (which to me communication with your pt is vital) and still follow what you've been taught over the years.

And the message I got from her saying that although she couldn't train the way she would have liked in the past few months she still had the confidence in herself to show off her body is what I've always aimed for with her.

You've been through tough times and I've always been a shoulder to cry on when needed and you're now a great friend because of this.

Thanks for taking the time to write that message. Your words meant a lot to me and I'll always have time for you.
It's always good to be appreciated.

About 11 or 12 years ago before I was a pt I decided I was carrying too much weight as I was around 14.7 stone and at 5.2ft that was big.

Mainly due to believing that to be a good power lifter I had to eat loads, no matter what it was I ate, size meant strength which I know now is rubbish.
💪
So I decided to shift weight and lost almost 5 stone to around 9.7 stone and hated that too.
I tried every fad diet under the sun and took part in every cardio fitness class I could find, sometimes 3 hours training a night and although I lost weight I hated the way I looked and felt.

I ended up skinny and weak and although I was probably at my lowest bodyfat levels and leanest I've ever been I hated it.
In fact I hated it enough that I don't think there is a picture with me topless anywhere, in fact there isn't many pictures at all, if any.
People were asking if I was ill.

Low body fat, lean and fit and still wasn't happy.

SO WHAT WAS THE POINT?

There wasn't any. I did it because I thought that was society wanted.

The picture here was me on the way back up, probably around 10.7st and as you can see I still look ill and skinny with no shape or definition.

It was around this point I changed everything.
🔹️I started calorie counting,
🔹️I starting following proper weight training programs,
🔹️I started lifting weights 3 to 4 times a week,
🔹️I stopped doing as much cardio going from 6 cardio sessions a week to 1,
🔹️I concentrated on my protein intake,
🔹️I stopped listening to what I saw online, it just confused me and I hated the diet and life it brought,
🔹️I stopped looking for quick fixes,
🔹️I started concentrating on what I found worked for me, not what others thought.
🔹️And I trained until I liked what I saw and fitted the life I wanted, not what others thought I should look like,

Now at 43 I'm fitter and stronger than I've ever been and best of all, I'm the happiest I've ever been with my physique.

I carry fat but that's ok as I know why.
🔹️I have a wife and 2 kids,
🔹️I'm 43,
🔹️I enjoy a drink,
🔹️I enjoy my weekends,
🔹️I enjoy food,
🔹️And best of all I try and enjoy life.
