🏆Well done to Club members Robert Dalgetty, Mike Cohen and Racquets Manager Alex Halsey on helping Scotland win the four Nations Tennis event vs Ireland, Wales and England. The team went undefeated all weekend in all age categories (over 35’s, over 45’s and over 50’s) to lift the trophy on home soil at Scotstoun, Glasgow 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🇮🇪 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Tomorrow we say goodbye to our outdoor courts at the club. Alex and Stewart cleared the area tonight and had one last hit on a beautiful evening 🌞 😢 #

Looking back there has been many a battle out there over the years that stick in the memory;
From seeing both of our Men’s and Ladies teams gain promotion to the Premier League and then compete at the highest level in the West of Scotland 💪🏻

Some epic Scottish Cup battles which saw the Mens team win the event in 2010 and 2011 🏆

The courts have welcomed some of the best players in Scotland over the years and the bad bounces and swarms of midges have flummoxed the best of them 😜

It was a pleasure seeing many of our members play their first competitive matches out there as well representing the club in the West Leagues. 👏🏼

On a nice evening it really was a pleasure to play out there with a crowd enjoying a drink on the patio 🍺😎

So now the courts make way for an outdoor swimming pool, extended patio and two padel courts. One of which will be floodlit and the other a canopy over it.

It’s a new and exciting chapter in the clubs history and I’m sure the new development will be stunning when it is finished in the Autumn. 👏🏼

Well done to Club members Calum Strang and Lewis McCubbin who made the Final of today’s grade 5 singles. The guys battled hard as the weather battered against the Club which made for an atmospheric final!But in the end Calum ran out the winner in straight sets! 🏆 ⛈️ 💨 🎾

🎾 Well done to Keith Haig and Kenny McLean who won last weeks 3rd Annual Lanarkshire Open over 60 Men’s doubles title. 🎾

They won all of their matches at the Club en route to the trophy! 🏆

🏆 Some early silverware for the club as the Mens and Ladies Teams take the Rowan Cup and the Bulletin Trophy back home to Lanarkshire.

🗺️ Teams from around the West of Scotland competed at Scotstoun but DL Hamilton’s Men and Ladies teams ran out winners!

💃🏼Playing for the ladies was Jenny Dickson, Chrissie Punter, Leone McLaren and Gillian Lindsay. 💃🏼

🕺🏼Playing for the men was Alex Halsey, Stephen Friel, Dean McLaren and Trevor Forsythe 🕺🏼

🎾 Well done to Club Member Miriam Marshall who last week represented Glasgow Academy at the National Schools Finals at the National Tennis Centre in London.

The girls were up against some of the best Juniors in the Country and ended up finishing 4th. 💪🏻

A great achievement for the team 👏🏼
