A special visitor turned up the other day and turned plenty of heads in the yard in the process leaving several asking, 'I know that boat don't I?' Formerly the second of Skip Novac's Pelagic exploration yachts, designed by Hamble local Tony Castro and built in 2003, today she's called Witness and is the third of three vessels owned by Greenpeace.
Having undertaken some recent maintenance work she stopped by for a few days where her skipper Nico Borchers and crew kindly gave us a tour of the boat and explained what she gets up to. It was fascinating stuff, thanks all!

The big guns are arriving as the Admiral's Cup draws closer. In the build up to the RTYC 250th Anniversary event last weekend, which included the IRC Nationals, the buzz was already building and now there is no doubt that we're getting into the thick of it with a summer Solent season that looks set to be one of the biggest in years.
Among the hot shots in our yard, Teasing Machine, Ran, Final Final, Black Pearl & Red Bandit.
It's going to be a big year, you can feel it!

It came streaming in through the window and caught us off guard so we rushed out to see if it was real...And there it was, the sun....not seen that for weeks!
It's still cold and the breeze is building, but with the big yellow thing noticeably higher in the sky it has that hint of Spring! Can't wait.

What a great day to start 2025 and be back doing the heavy lifting!
We're looking forward to what promises to be a very busy and exciting season here in the Solent.
