Close racing today at the delayed 2025 RYA Schools Match Racing Championship at Queen Mary Sailing Club. After storms cancelled racing in November 2025, RTYC stepped up to host the re-scheduled championship. Etchells Youth Academy – ready to rock and roll

The Cowes Etchells Fleet is delighted with the quality of applicants and Head Coach David Bedford has selected 4 high quality teams. We are in the fortunate position of having one further place and a part team so we are looking for 2 bight youth sailors aged 18-29 to come forward if they would like to participate.

It is unusual for us to invite individual applications but we are for the ’26 season so please contact [email protected] if you are interested. You will need to be an accomplished dinghy sailor with an interest in advancing your skills and progressing into keelboats or high- performance racing.

The opportunity: high quality coaching, allocation and use of a race prepared Etchells, safe environment and become part of an exclusive group, whose alumni have gone on to excel in the competing at world level in Corinthian, professional, and Olympic capacities.
