Butchers end the year with a 2-0 v Sarisbury!

The game started slowly with a couple of half chances in the first half for Butchers and plenty of possession for Sarisbury who were held at arms length by some good defensive work. After a quiet first half, Butchers dominated much of the second half and were rewarded with a goal from Braydon following in on a fine save by the Sarisbury keeper. A few more excellent saves from the Sarisbury keeper to keep the yellows in the game. A few dangerous looking counter attacks came to nothing from Sarisbury and again the second half pressure paid off with a goal from Connor, he didn’t know much about it as it bounced up off his face and in, they all count the same.

MOTM Connor for control things from the midfield and winning all his battles.

League Match result: Butchers 2-1 M&T

A hard fought game from the off, with Butchers creating plenty of chances and M&T looking dangerous on the break. Going in 0-0 at half time as Butchers failed to capitalise on their chances. A penalty early in the second half cooly dispatched by Kamil gave the Butchers a deserved lead. M&T equalised after the ball appeared to go out of play but a tidy finish levelled the game. A superb save from Sean with 5 minutes left kept the game level. And then in the last minute, a great ball from Max played Freddie through on goal and he made no mistake in sliding the ball past the keeper to give Butchers a 2-1 win and maintaining their 100% record to start the season.

Hampshire Cup Match result: 2-2 (4-2) Pens

The boys played a strong Knights Fc side today ultimately winning on penalties.
After a very even start to the game solent found themselves 1-0 up after Thanos scored with a brilliant strike into the bottom corner. As the half came to a close Mr reliable Freddie Vine was played through on goal and dispatched it as if he had all the time in the world.

On to the second half, it was tight game with both teams having chances but five minutes from the end Knights scored after solents back line failed to deal with a cross and then the sucker blow came with seconds left on the clock Knights drilled the ball across goal with the gaffer trying to clear inadvertently stuck it in our own net full time 2-2

Penaties: Robert Dufall, Kamil Nawabzada and olaf M dispatched there efforts with ease leading to Sean saving the 3rd penalty from Knights, leaving it up to the gaffer to redeem himself from which he did, Knights then skied there 4th pen meaning solent go through 4-2

Motm: Sean Thomson, he had an unbelievable game between the sticks.

Titans get Butcherd. Inter club friendly today with the lads taking on the titans, in a tight and hard thought first half we found ourselves 1-0 up going into half time after Ben Porters pin point cross was finished off by Olaf M.

HT 1-0

Into the second half titans came out a lot stronger and equalizing with a fantastic set piece, But that didn't faze the lads as they had an instant reply through Ben Porter finishing calmly under pressure from the opposition defender. After creating more chances we were given a very dubious penalty scored by Ben Porter. The lads didn't stop there either after creating many more chances and missing a couple that seemed harder to miss than score Max James finally got his goal finishing off a great team move. Late on titans were awarded a penalty, another very dubious decision which they dispatched. But it was just a consolation as the lads held on for the victory.

Match result: 6-2 victory for the Butchers!

After a fantastic start to the game the boys found themselves 5-0 up in the opening 25 minutes, after making some changes rowner found themselves back in the game with 2 second half goals but solent dug in and scored another to kill the game off with ten minutes to go.

The boys are back in action tomorrow, 10am kick off at mount pleasant hamble.

A comfortable day at the office today for the team, after an awful opening 15 minutes we quickly turned things around and we're leading 5-1 into halftime. Into the second half the boys struggled to get back into the rhyme of the game but eventually did and finished strongly with a full time score of 9-1.

The boys take on Michelmersh and Timsbury tomorrow in a real 6 pointer, the squad has been working hard in training the last few weeks and are hopeful of another win.
