Did you know, cold water shock is a real danger in water below 15°C.

The average sea temperature in the UK and Ireland is 12°C meaning you can be at risk all year round, even during summer.

Due to an increase in boating and other water-based activities between the months of April and October, risks are higher at the beginning of the season.
