We started the season with a tough 7–1 defeat away to Pace — and in truth, that set the tone for what has been a very challenging campaign.

The step between the Jnr and Snr leagues is huge and the opposition have had a different gear in most games.

To say it’s been a tough season would be an understatement. We lost several key players from last year due to relocation, suffered a huge blow with our captain picking up a serious injury, and have had to constantly patch together a squad. Adjusting to life in Division 3 hasn’t been easy.

But we’re not a club that measures success purely by results.

For us, success is about the wellbeing, happiness, and togetherness of our players — and that’s something we’ve protected all season. The character shown across this group has been outstanding.

A boost of new signings in February gave us real momentum and helped carry us over the line. A special thank you must also go to our Mercury Alliance players, who stepped up and gave everything for the team in recent weeks — your contribution hasn’t gone unnoticed.

The summer gives us space to rebuild, to grow, and to come back stronger — not just as a team, but as a group who genuinely enjoy playing together.

And make no mistake…

Next season, we come out fighting 🔥

What a day for football ⚽️

With 25+ players unavailable, it was always going to be a tough one… but that’s what this club is about 💪

We still managed to get TWO teams out 👏

Rangers travelled to Hythe & Dibden with 8 players stepping up from Division 6. Every one of them put in a shift and did themselves proud, keeping it competitive in a 3-1 loss.
⭐️ Special moment for Lucie scoring her first ever goal after only taking up football this season!
Thank you to H&D for making us feel so welcome, great set up you have.

Alliance were also hit by absences but, with support from across the Solent family, they pulled together and got a result against Pavilion Panthers🙌
A performance that sums up their season — hardworking, united, and finishing in a very respectable mid-table position.

And the biggest highlight of the day…
🐶 A debut for our newest club mascot Sully… who slept through most of it 😴😂

Proud of everyone involved today — that’s the Spirit of Solent 💙
