After all the clues, the guessing we are SO excited to finally announce what we’ve been working on

Tanya Horne School of Highland Dancing is heading to BROADWAY! 🎶

Well... Broadway is coming to Caithness!

Our dancers are taking to the stage for our very own Broadway themed show, bringing together over 100 dancers, from our littlest dancers right through to our seniors.

Rehearsals, costumes, choreography and a huge amount of work behind the scenes are all going into creating something really special for our dancers, their families and our community.

For a small dance school right at the very top of Scotland, we want our dancers to know that where you come from should never limit the opportunities you get to experience.

We have multiple performances planned, but once tickets are released, we expect things to move quickly!

A colourful display of tartan on show today at the Wick Community Market, in the lovely newly restored Market Square

It was sunny, it was windy 😂 but nonetheless our girls had an absolutely fantastic time performing!

We’re so grateful to the Wick Community Market for inviting us along. These opportunities are just such a great experience for our kids. They get the chance to not only do what they love, what they’re good at and what they work hard at every week, but also to challenge themselves in different ways.

We had girls there today who worked really hard to overcome their nerves, some trying a new dance, and others who quite simply got the opportunity to put their kilt on, dance with their friends and enjoy performing outside of the studio.

And that’s what it’s all about

A lovely afternoon, lots of happy dancers and another opportunity for our girls to get out there and do what they love.

The excitement is definitely building now!

💗✨ There is so much work going on behind the scenes with planning, organising teams, creating and, of course, lots and lots of rehearsing!
The dancers are working incredibly hard, and the buzz in the studios is getting bigger by the day.

✨ CONGRATULATIONS! ✨

We are absolutely delighted to share that these four girls have been selected to take part in the B.A.T.D. Jessie Stewart Haggarty Highland MBE Scholarship! 💙

This is an event that has always been very special but I think this year feels just that little bit more special. 🥹
special to us as a school and one that we absolutely love being part of.

Being selected is an achievement in itself. It is recognition of the hard work, dedication and effort these girls have put into their dancing and, in particular, their theory work and examination. Before they even arrive at the Scholarship, they should already be proud of themselves.

These four girls have grown together not only as dancers, but as friends. There are very few occasions when you don't see the four of them together! They've practiced together, competed together, supported one another, laughed together, cried together and made so many memories along the way.

So the fact that all four of them now get to experience something as special as the Scholarship together is heart-warming. 💕

Girls, we are SO proud of you. This is an achievement to be proud of and so very well deserved. 💙🩷💚

And just like that our 2026 Bus tour season is officially OVER & OUT! 🥹

What a brilliant season it has been for our dancers. And a busy one at that.

They genuinely love nothing more than getting the opportunity to entertain visitors from all over the world and give them a little insight into one of their favourite parts of life

Of course they love performing, but I think what makes these evenings even more special is everything that comes afterwards.

The questions.
The conversations.
The applause.
The standing ovations.
The people who take the time to come over, speak to them and tell them how much they enjoyed watching.

It means a lot to the dancers and gives them such a sense of pride in what they do.

We’ve had so many wonderful groups through the doors this season, created some brilliant memories and we have watched our dancers grow in confidence with every performance.

A huge thank you to everyone who has watched, clapped, asked questions, taken photographs and made our dancers feel so incredibly valued.

What started as a crazy idea is becoming something very exciting, and we’re nearly ready to reveal all!

We might come from a small community in the north of Scotland, but that doesn’t mean our dancers should ever have small opportunities. 🥹
