Finding out I had a hernia completely threw me off.At first, my mind went straight to the worst-case scenario, and it was all I could think about. Every day, everything I did—it was just there in the back of my head.
It’s been over a month now, and I’m still waiting for an ultrasound. That waiting, not knowing… that’s been one of the hardest parts.
But I’ve realised something—staying stuck in my own head wasn’t helping me. If anything, it was making things worse.
So I started small. I wrote things down. I got my thoughts out instead of letting them control me. And that’s when it hit me… I can either sit in this rut, or I can take some kind of control back.
This isn’t about ignoring the problem—it’s about facing it differently.
If you’re going through something similar, feeling stuck, overthinking, or just not yourself… you’re not alone. But you also don’t have to stay there.
Take one small step today. Clear your head. Move your body in whatever way you can. Do something—anything—that moves you forward.
You don’t have to have it all figured out. Just start.
This is me starting my journey—mentally and physically—and taking control where I can.
If you're in that same place right now… Believe in yourself.... Make that start MGPT Matty Greenhough
