Halifax Swimming Club, West Yorkshire, UK, is an amateur swimming club founded in 1864.

Halifax Swimming Club was founded in 1864 and is one of the oldest swimming clubs in the country. We are a competitive club and aim for all swimmers to compete to the best of their ability,

We have several swimmers competing at County and Regional level and our head coach is very proud that in 2014 we have a swimmer representing the club at national level and we are confident this is the first of many. If you are looking for a swimming club, then you have come to the right place!

The 2026 Aquatics GB Swimming Championships were held over an action packed six-day, fully-integrated para-swimming and swimming programme to the London Aquatics Centre across 14th-19th April. Charlie successfully qualified and swam in the Final of the 400m IM. Amazing achievement which can still be viewed on BBC iplayer - Well done Charlie we’re super proud of you

EXCITING NEWS
The committee would like to announce that Jacob has been appointed to the post of Assistant Head Coach.
He will support Deborah and also bring new ideas to our club.
He is currently studying a further qualification to make our team formidable.

WELL DONE EVERYONE - FANTASTIC SWIMMING TODAY - CHECK YOUR EMAILS FOR RESULTS Thank you so much for coming to our gala this afternoon. The swimmers did really well and it’s great for me to see how much progress is being made and how many friendships have developed. Keep going. You make me so proud.

Now a special thank you to all the volunteers who have made today a great success in celebrating International Women’s Day: Sally, Dani and Zoe for getting some fabulous prizes for the raffle,Nicola for the fantastic cookies,Polly for arranging the purple ribbons, Gail for printing your special programmes.
Please remember the volunteers who give so much time to ensure our swimmers : the officials, announcer, medal presenters, team managers, the back room girls without whom we would not have a successful set up,

The raffle and door money raised £640.20 , which goes towards the cost of running a gala.

INTERNAL GALA 1 - SUNDAY 8th MARCH 2026.

At our first swimming gala of 2026 we will also be celebrating International Women’s day. Each of our swimmers will receive a free IWD inspired cookie.

We can’t wait to see swimmers, families and supporters for a fantastic event on Sunday.
Don’t forget on the day to grab your raffle tickets and try and bag one of our fantastic prizes.

Good evening everyone.
This weekend is the final weekend of the Long Course Yorkshire Championships at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.
We have 4 swimmers who have qualified and are competing tomorrow in the sprint events. Amelia Q, Amelia R, Imogen H-S and Zoe P.

Good Evening

What an outstanding weekend of swimming at the British Down Syndrome Swimming Championships for our Club Ambassador, Glenn Fielden.

His hard work in training has resulted in some very well deserved PBs.

What an outstanding evening of swimming at Aireborough Pool last night for the final Rising Stars Gala of the year.

There were so many personal best times achieved and lots of medals won, fantastic achievement 👏

Halifax swimmers really did stand out with their amazing techniques 👏

There was a great atmosphere poolside, swimmers cheering for each other and celebrating each others success, great team spirit 👏

A huge well done to every single swimmer who competed yesterday evening you were all truly amazing 👏 👏

A huge thankyou to Gabby and our Club Captains Eden Cadman and Lucy Culf. Your were all so very supportive of the swimmers and we are so very grateful for all your help..
