Sowerby Bridge JFC

Sowerby Bridge JFC Sowerby Bridge JFC was formed in 2022. we are FA Charter Standard Junior Football Club based in Halifax. We play in the Huddersfield Junior Football League.

We have teams for under 6's up to under 17's and open age. The club started out with links to the church of the same name just down the road. Our club has strong links with local schools including Luddendenfoot Academy, Ling Bob, Warley. We also have links with professional clubs such as Sheffield United, Halifax Town. The club are always looking for new players of all age groups, both boys and gi

rls. There is a code of conduct that promotes equality and fairness. We setup open age team, and as a result now have an exit route for the kids as they reach adulthood. Sowerby Bridge JFC is a FA Charter Standard Club. The main objectives of Sowerby Bridge JFC are to promote discipline, fair play, sportsmanship & community spirit. The club plays at Walton Street, Sowerby Bridge, HX6 1AN and continues to go from strength to strength.

Sadly it just wasnt meant to be. The U16s put up a valiant attempt against the division champions and took them to 1-1 and penalties. But sadly they lost 4-3 from the spot.

Its a huge achievement to get to the final and the coaches, parents and spectators should be proud.

They've only gone and done it!!!! It all came down to the last game of the season. Northowram Colts have been 1st for 17 out of 18 games and the mighty Sowerby Bridge U17s have just ripped the rug out from under their feet to win 6-1 and become u17s Div5 Champions.
What a performance to win the league.
Well done Scott, Linton, Andy and the rest of the lads. Well deserved CHAMPIONS. 🏆 UTB 💜💙

We still need 3 or 4 more players to join our two U16s teams.

We are looking for outfield players for either team.

But we are specifically looking for a goalkeeper for our Div7 team.

Our A team are in Huddersfield Junior League Div4 after being Div5 champions last season. And we have just added a new team into Div7.

Players from Years 10 or 11 welcome.

We are still looking for a few more players and another coach to help with our U16s for the coming season.

Following the success of our title winning U15s last season, we have already had an influx of new players. So we have entered a 2nd U16s team into the Huddersfield Macron Junior Football League for the new season.

We already have 24 players, but require another 4 to 6 to ensure that we have sufficient players each week.

In addition, we need another coach to assist in helping us to make this happen.

We are still urgently looking for players for our U16s and Under 17s teams for the upcoming season.

Even if the players haven't had a chance to play for a team before but have played at school, that's fine.

U16s - Years 10 and 11 - Any ability

U17s - Year 12 / Sixth form - Div 5

We have FA trained coaches and have the lowest annual subscriptions in the area.
