A proud day for Copley CC and the Halifax Cricket League as former player Benjamin Cliff made his senior debut for Yorkshire County Cricket Club (Official) in the Royal London One-Day Cup at York CC.

Ben, who has been a regular in the county's 2nd XI all season, took a wicket in the first over of the Northants innings as Yorkshire defended 353 to win by 33 runs.

Congratulations Ben, the first of many!

The new West Yorkshire Women & Girls' Softball League has started this season.

The Copley Comets is our team.

Our first game is at home, tomorrow, Weds 15th June v Stainland, with our second game away at Blackley on Weds 22nd June.

All supporters welcome.

The bar will be open and hot drinks available at Copley tomorrow.

An excellent, unbeaten, start to the season for our two Saturday teams, with both skippers, Olly Thorpe and Craig Chew, featuring at the top of the MVP table.👏

Great to see no less than 6 of our juniors on the chart. 💪
