Great to see Sport Quantum signing a deal with the ESC in Paris earlier this week. Part of the focus, as always (and something that I think is really important) is looking to attract more (especially younger) people into shooting sports.

The European Shooting Confederation and tech innovator SportQuantum have officially signed a partnership agreement in Paris. The meeting was hosted by the company’s CEO and Co-founder Jean-Marc Alexandre, alongside Deputy CEO and CTO Jean Sreng and their team. The ESC was represented by Secretary General Yahor Aleinik and Technical Committee Chair Robert Ferencak.

Under the agreement, key initiatives include product discounts for federations in the ESC Development Grant Programme, special pricing for U18 athletes, and two SQ Air 10 target sets awarded annually as prizes at the European Championships.

To mark the start of a strong and fruitful partnership, Mr Aleinik presented Mr Alexandre with a special token of appreciation, thanking the entire SportQuantum team for their dedication to the sport and innovation.

The ESC delegation also tested the flagship SQ Air 10 electronic targets firsthand: Mr Ferencak with an air pistol and Mr Aleinik with an air rifle. This innovative system is already praised by European and World Champions, including Istvan Peni (HUN) and Mathilde Lamolle (FRA), as an excellent tool for training and development.

Summarising the meeting, Mr Jean-Marc Alexandre said:

"We believe technology must serve the athlete, the coach and the federation. It must make training more efficient, more engaging and more accessible.This perfectly matches ESC’s ambition to modernize the sport and inspire more people, especially younger generations, to discover and practice shooting."

Looking ahead to the impact of the partnership, Mr Alexandre concluded:

"The purpose of this agreement with the ESC is to give the largest possible number of athletes, clubs and federations access to the best available technology, while supporting the modernization of shooting sports across the continent."

It was a real pleasure having the ELEY team on the stand, and wonderful to reconnect with friends from my years at one of the UK’s most iconic shooting sports brands.

A brilliant day out at the Cynon Valley Open in Cwmaman, South Wales! Big thanks to Rob and the Aberdare Air Rifle League for having us. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

We put up a couple of SQ Air 10 targets for shooters to try, with all proceeds going to club funds. The game? Hitting a rugby ball between the posts for a conversion — we were in Wales, so what else could it be! 🏉🎯

50 shooters on the day from Aberdare and District, Newport Eagles, Belle Vue, Swindon and District, and MTSC. A fantastic event — well done to everyone involved.

Incredible to speak with Esha Singh at our stand in Munich after her stunning week — gold + world record in 25m Pistol, silver in 10m Air Pistol.

Esha trains 4–5 hours a week for both Air and 25m disciplines on an SQ Air 10 system her father brought home from this very event last year. The results? History-making. 🎯

New installation complete — SQ Fire rimfire targets at Stirkoke Rifle Club in Caithness, Scotland.

Two SQ Fire units set up for 20-yard Prone rimfire shooting. The SQ Fire is designed specifically for rimfire disciplines, using an armoured steel impact plate to detect shots electronically — no paper targets, built-in bullet catcher, instant scoring, and a full analysis at the end of your session which you can upload directly to your mobile phone/ share with your coach.

For a club at the northern tip of mainland Britain, it’s a great example of how electronic target technology is reaching beyond the major shooting centres. Stirkoke now has a system that will serve them for training and competition for years to come.
