⚽️ SCANNING WARM UP ⚽️

This fun warm up exercise has players holding their ball in one hand whilst trying to knock opponents ball out the hand, while staying in the square.

This fun activation game got our Foundation Footballers scanning, moving and having fun.

⚽️ SCANNING & PASSING ⚽️

Scanning is one of the most important skills in football. The picture around players is constantly changing so scanning and holding the information the players have received changes a good player to a great player.

Here the player in the middle must scan before the receive the ball. One touch and pass to the free player. Great drill to work on short distance passing, first touch, both feet and of course… scanning!

⚽️ TIMING, BALL SPEED & DECISION MAKING ⚽️

8 players on the outside work in pairs to pass the ball to each other, whilst 2 players in the middle dribble from side to side.

⚽️ NEVER STOP DEMANDING THE BALL ⚽️

One of the biggest habits we encourage in our Foundation Footballers is having the confidence to demand the ball from teammates.

Communication, movement, and bravery on the pitch help players stay involved, make better decisions, and grow in confidence during games and training. 💪

Great players don’t hide — they show for the ball and never stop asking for it!!

Learning to communicate, trust themselves, and play with confidence every single session! 👏
