I took some time away from social media over Christmas and the New Year - so hello 👋 and hello 2026 😁

That pause gave me space to reflect on the year just gone and on myself, and to gently identify some goals - both small and big.

One I’m sharing today is around my health. I’ve had a bad /injured leg for a while and this week I finally put a couple of actions in place: seeing a professional for advice and support, and heading to a strengthening class this morning… ouch!

It hurts, but it also feels really good to be doing something about it. A reminder that small, intentional steps can make a real difference.

So I’m curious, did you take any time out over the Christmas break to reflect? And is there one small step you could take over the next few days towards something that matters to you?

Do you like to keep Christmas the same each year - same decorations, same plans, same people? 🎅

Or are you someone who enjoys mixing it up a little?

It’s interesting how comfortable same can feel… even when part of us might be ready for something different.

Sometimes noticing what we’re used to can help us see where we might want to try something new... a small or big change, a different way of doing things or even just a fresh perspective. That could maybe apply to trying a new hobby, a different daily routine or even exploring the possibility of a new job 🤔

This morning’s school run was so dull, wet and grey... a very December way to start December. And honestly… I can’t quite believe we’re here already 🤷‍♀️

There’s something about stepping into the final month of the year that makes you pause, isn’t there?

It brings a mix of HOW is it Christmas already? And a gentle reminder to check in with yourself.

Are you feeling ready for all the festive bits ahead? Or does it feel like everything has come around a little too quickly this year?

Wherever you are with it - excited, overwhelmed, tired or a little of everything, it’s completely ok

This morning on the school run, the cold, wet weather really hit me and it made me think about how often what’s going on outside can be reflected in how we feel inside.

Menopause, other health challenges, stress, grief… can sometimes feel even heavier, more unpredictable on these days

Talking to more and more women, I realise how easy it is to feel like you’re the only one, until you speak up and find others who understand. That in itself can feel like a relief.

But some days it can feel like one gust of wind and everything might topple

Are You Feeling Invisible Around Menopause? It’s something many women quietly share; that sense of fading into the background as they move through menopause.

Bodies change, priorities shift and sometimes it can feel as though the world stops seeing you.

But here’s the truth: you haven’t disappeared. You’re evolving.

This season can be uncomfortable and full of changes that catch you off guard. But it can also be a time of rediscovery. As life settles in new ways, there’s space to reflect, to reconnect with what matters most and to identify new goals, hopes and possibilities for this next chapter.

You are still here. Still strong. Still full of stories, wisdom and spark.

What do you do with all that energy and focus when it suddenly feels like it’s not needed so much anymore?

As children grow and become more independent, our role shifts. Your babies are still your babies, but their need for you changes and that can leave a space that feels unfamiliar.

For many women, this time of life can also overlap with other big changes, like the menopause; another reminder of just how much our bodies, minds and priorities can evolve.

Some mums step naturally into new goals or passions. Others pause, unsure of what’s next. Both are completely normal.

The important thing is to notice how you’re feeling and start exploring where you’d like to channel that energy next.

We go through many stages in life that seem to follow a set path and have similar elements; puberty, pregnancy, motherhood. But the truth is, every experience feels different for each of us. The same goes for the menopause.

The more I talk to women about it, the more I realise: no two experiences are ever the same.

Some of us feel it physically, hot flushes, joint pain, fatigue. Others notice emotional shifts, anxiety, mood changes, dips in confidence. And for many, it’s a mix of both.

That’s why talking about it matters. The more we share, the more we normalise it and the easier it is to get the support we all need.

On World Mental Health Day, it feels especially important to acknowledge the emotional and mental toll menopause can have and the fact that it’s still so often misunderstood or overlooked.

So I’d love to hear from you:
