This evening we host Herstmonceux Cricket Club at Horsebridge rec for the fourth annual Richard Ashby Trophy.

This fixture is played in memory of a club legend, who many players & supporters owe for his support and guidance.

We would like to welcome all to come support for a 5:30 start.

🚨Back2back2back 60 points🚨

Last weekend saw both Xls once again pick up maximum points as we reach the half way point of the season.

The 1st Xl, who made the short trip to Dicker cc, won the Toss and elected to bat first. A fine batting display saw the team post 200/4 of their allotted 40 overs. A fast start got the 1s tails up,as they managed to put early pressure onto Dicker. A professional close to the innings saw Hellingly winning by 22 runs.

The 2nd Xl played hosts to Uckfield Anderida, winning the Toss and electing to field. A very difficult first half of the innings saw the 2s being beaten and bruised by the Uckfield openers. Resistance eventually came, with Hellingly fighting back, being set a big target of 240 to win. An inspired batting Performance from Stu Munnery (123) saw a spirited run chase completed and the 2s winning by 4 wickets.

Off the back of last week’s superb 60 point weekend, both sides are back in action this afternoon.

The 1st Xl host Linden park cc, looking to build on last weekends brilliant performance and keep pushing on up the table.

The 2nd Xl travel to Crowborough, with the aim of keeping their 100% record in tact with some exciting cricket.

Our 1st Xl host Alfriston at Horsebridge this afternoon looking to seal a hatrick of wins in the league and continue their league form. 🏏

First double game week of the season…first 60 pointer 🏏💥

Our 1st Xl travelled to Lewes St Michaels CC,who were put in the middle to set a total for the hosts to chase. We posted a total of 146 to defend, achieving this with a brilliant team fielding display and winning by 24 runs.

Bowling ☄️- Paul Kirk 3/28 off 9

Our 2nd Xl hosted Crowborough 2s, who chose to bat in hope of setting Crowborough a big total to catch. Debut and maiden 50s for Anthony Scott and Adam Hart respectively, pushed Hellingly to a total of 264. Hellingly got the job done, winning by 102 runs.
