Regretfully the Mad Marsh Run will not be taking place this Sunday, and will be discontinued going forward. We will issue full refunds to all participants this week, and we apologise for any inconvenience this decision may cause

SPRING EVENT POSTPONED: We regret to announce that we have had to postpone our Spring Mad Marsh Run (Sunday 23rd April) due to such wet weather throughout March preventing us from preparing the course effectively. The run will take place instead on Sunday 10th September 2023. Those who bought tickets will be entered automatically into the September run, or refunds will be available. We will email all runners with this info. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you in the autumn!

Exclusive to the 10km course, Pungent Plunge is the biggest ditch jump on the Mad Marsh Run! You’ll need to wade your way from one side to the other, and our marshals will be on hand to help you out (if they’re feeling generous!)

Stairway to Hay-ven is a big pyramid of strawbales that you’ll need to climb up, over and down the other side (don’t worry, it’s not as steep as last time!)

You can still be a part of the Mad Marsh Run without running, by being a volunteer!

Our volunteers will start the day with a complimentary hot drink and bacon/sausage sarnie – you will then help with car parking, as well as marshalling obstacles, runners and spectators.
All volunteers will be entitled to free entry as a participant or spectator at a future Mad Marsh Run event!

The Mad Marsh Run is BACK!

Following the success of our inaugural Mad Marsh Run back in 2019, we can confirm that our Spring 2023 event will take place on Sunday 23rd April. Here’s a reminder of what The Mad Marsh Run is all about:

🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ An intense mud run through marsh and mire, with plenty of ditch jumps and other fun obstacles – a real test of mind and body. Choose between 10km or 5km distances.

🐮 Hosted on the protected marshlands of Hook & Son dairy farm, this mud run is unique in that it benefits the environment too – just by taking part in the Mad Marsh Run you will help conserve the amazing Pevensey Levels!

🚜 Spectators can watch the fun unfurl with tractor-and-trailer rides that will take you to the centre of the action.

🍔 After the race, it’s back to the farm for a BBQ and drinks. All runners will receive a Mad Marsh Run T-shirt, a medal, and a bottle of Hook & Son’s fresh organic milk!
