U11 Stringers Match Report 💛💚

A brilliant team performance from the Stringers today, with some superb football played throughout. The movement, work rate and effort were excellent, and the boys defended together as a team really well.

There was some really watchable football on display and, most importantly, a great collective performance from start to finish.

A fantastic result for the boys - now the challenge is to keep that consistency going!

A superb display in the middle of the pitch - working hard, linking the play and helping the team both in and out of possession. Well deserved, Ben!

The young Stringers made it back-to-back wins with a hard-fought victory away at Westfield Youth.

Arlo opened the scoring with a brilliant run and finish, before Samuel calmly slotted home Toby’s through ball late in the third quarter to seal the win.

⭐ MOTM: Samuel for his tenacity and match-winning goal, with Theo also earning praise for an outstanding performance.

Under 8 Stringers — First 2 Weeks Update! ⚽️
​Week 1 (Away at St Leonards): A great away trip to start the season! Excellent effort from everyone in a brilliantly matched game of football.

​Week 2 (vs Little Common): A testing match against a very strong side. Everyone showed massive resilience and kept pushing through all four quarters.

Some really lovely football played today and lots of positives to be pleased about.

The team are continuing to develop; working well together and playing the right way - creating lots of chances. The hard work in training is paying off!

Second game of the season and what a game it was… First of all a very happy 40th birthday to coach Rob.. On to the game and both teams worked very hard and you would think it was a game of basketball with end to end action…
Got off to a great start with another early goal from Kylo with a great through ball from Brooklyn.. The game stayed fairly tight with Sedlescombe equalising fairly soon after… The Hailsham boys hit another gear and more goals came through Brooklyn and Carter.. All the boys worked tirelessly and out of nowhere a looped shot that was destined for the goal was hooked off the line by Jacob to huge applause from both sets of parents and coaches… Player of the match was a extremely dificult with every boy playing their part… It was so difficult that we still had to settle on two boys… Carter and Brooklyn both getting Hatricks ended up sharing the award… Extremely enjoyable game to coach and to watch… Well done to all 💛💚

The sun was shining but the early start meant I was told off for making them get up early... 🤣😅

However they appeared to forgive me with another good performance...

All of the team played with the right spirit and correct attitude which they can be very proud of.

This week's player of the week was Toby who was constantly running at the defenders and finished with some very well taken goals!

A really positive performance from the U11 Stringers today for the first game of the season. There was some excellent football on display.

The passing and movement was a real highlight, with the players looking after the ball, creating triangles and moving it quickly. Great to see the work from training coming through on match day.

⭐ POTM: Freddie – a brilliant performance, well deserved!
