🏆 MOVEMBER DARTS MARATHON | EVENT FORMAT

🎯 Event Overview

A charity darts marathon to launch Movember at Hellingly Rugby Club.
All participants collectively aim to score 133,000 points — representing the 133,000 men lost prematurely each year, especially to su***de and prostate cancer.

📅 Date & Time

• Start: 3pm KO — Saturday 31st October
• Finish: When the target is hit, likely around midday Friday 1st November
A true overnight endurance challenge.

Hellingly Rugby Club

🎯 How It Works

• Continuous darts throwing from 3pm until the 133,000‑point target is reached
• Players rotate in shifts or jump in whenever they want
• Live scoreboard tracking progress
• Movember donation station + QR codes
• Fancy dress encouraged (bonus points for moustaches)

💙 Why 133,000?

Every year, 133,000 men die too young, many from preventable causes.
Movember fights for better mental health support, su***de prevention, prostate cancer awareness, and testicular cancer research.

Have Your Say – Proposed Pump Track at Lower Horsebridge Recreation Ground

Hellingly Parish Council is consulting residents on a proposal to install a pump track at Lower Horsebridge Recreation Ground.

The proposed pump track would be free to use, not floodlit, and designed for people of all ages and abilities. The design also includes an exit path and a designated waiting area to help ensure the facility can be used safely and considerately by everyone.

The consultation is open until 20 July 2026, and the Parish Council would like to hear residents' views before making any decisions.

Hellingly Parish Council is keen to install a Pumptrack at the Lower Horse Bridge Recreation Ground (See Diagram below). The Pumptrack will not be floodlit and would be accessible to all ages and abilities. In practise, Pumptrack users are very respectful towards younger or beginner cyclists needing...

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of former player, Rob Potts. Rob was a valued member of the club, remembered fondly by teammates and friends for his time on and off the pitch. Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to Rob’s family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.

Funeral service is at Wealden Crematorium on Monday 13th July 2026 at 11am.

As the season comes to an end, the lads all travel to Bristol on a weekend tour. Hosted by and a game played in fantastic spirits.

It’s always fantastic to get the boys together to bond over beers & the game.

Rest well gentlemen, our awards dinner is only round the corner.

The boys travel to Eastbourne to round out the year.
