💫 Track Night

Without a track to call our own in St Neots, a trip over to Sandy is always a popular event.

Big thanks to coach Alan for setting a challenging, high-energy session where everyone became 1500m track runners.

Great effort, brilliant camaraderie, and plenty of tired legs to show for it!

🌟 2026 Pairs Relay 🌟

Last night we held one of our most popular and much loved social events of the year - the Riverside Runners Pairs Relay.

It’s a simple and really fun concept. Teams are formed of any kind of pair: Couples
Mother and Son, Father and Son, Mother and Daughter, Mother and Son, Siblings and Friends.

Each pair takes it in turn to run a solo lap of around 1k, completing two laps each before running the final lap together. Medals are awarded to the overall winners as well as the winners of each pairs category.

We had 34 pairs take place last night, supported by a team of volunteers 🥰

One of the best things about the event is that only one member of the team has to be a club member, so it’s a great opportunity to include friends and family members in the fun 💚

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, our raffle raised over £200 for our charity of the year, the Upside Down Sports Club.

Very proud of our green and white at yesterday’s ATW’s Odyssey 12 event!

Lots of our club members ran to support Hazel as she completed her 100th marathon 💚 We also had some brilliant results in the pairs and team events.

🥇 He’s hardly mentioned it at all… but Lee and Chris picked up 1st place in the pairs.

🥇 Steve, Izzy, Ian and Hayley placed first in the mixed team category.

🥇 And Caroline, Susan, Anna and Rita’s team placed first ladies team.

Fantastic results in hot conditions - great running all!

A few photos from our Riverside Juniors takeover at Riverside junior parkrun, St Neots this morning 💚🤍

16 of our members helped to fill the volunteering roles and cheered not only our awesome Junior members around the course, but all of the other brilliant young runners taking part 🙌 We saw lots of smiles, gave out lots of high-fives and heard some new PBs being celebrated!

Our Junior section does have a short waiting list at the moment. However, we’re keen to help as many young people as possible find a love of running, so get in touch with our Membership Secretary if you’d like more details or to be added to the list!

Whether your child is already a parkrun regular or wants to try a 2km run for the very first time, we’d love to see you there. It’s also a great opportunity to come say hello and meet some of our coaching team, and learn a bit more about our Juniors. We have a small waiting list at the moment but are hoping to welcome new members this autumn.

So, if you’ve got a young runner in your family (8+) come and see us this Sunday and find out more about our Riverside Runners Junior section!

New to junior parkrun? It’s completely free and open to children aged between 4 and 14. Just make sure to register beforehand at parkrun.org.uk.

Looking for some free family fun over the summer holidays?
junior parkrun runs each week, all through the summer! (And all the rest of the year too!)
During the 2025 summer holiday over 3000 junior participants crossed the finish line at a Cambridgeshire junior event! That is amazing. Can we beat that this year? We think so!

We do always appreciate a little extra help over the holidays, as some of the regular gang head off on their summer adventures. (How dare they? 😂) So if you fancy popping on a high viz and helping make a record breaking summer a reality, please let us know! All the volunteer roles are super simple and very rewarding! (Fair warning - collecting those volunteer credits can be addictive!)
And our neighbouring events are always grateful for the help too if you're travelling a little further afield yourself.
