We were delighted to be invited to join another BSAC group for a 40-metre dry-dive session at Northwest Diver Medical Services.
The entire morning was packed with fascinating information, practical insights, and plenty of opportunities to learn more about the physiological effects of diving at depth. Dave, who delivered the session, was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the subject to life with a great mix of expertise, real-world experience, and humour, making the time fly by while keeping everyone fully engaged.
The dry-dive experience gave us a valuable opportunity to better understand how our bodies respond to increased pressure and reinforced the importance of safe diving practices. It was both educational and enjoyable, and everyone came away having learned something new.
We genuinely feel that this is a must for all divers, regardless of experience level. Whether you’re newly qualified or have hundreds of dives under your belt, the knowledge gained from experiencing and understanding the effects of pressure in a controlled environment is invaluable and can only help make you a safer, more informed diver.
A huge thank you to The Potteries and Staffordshire Divers for extending the invitation and allowing us to take part in such an interesting and worthwhile event. We really appreciated the warm welcome and the chance to share the experience with fellow divers.
Please enjoy a few photos from the morning, which capture some of the highlights of a fantastic session! 📸🤿
