We are a small village club in North Worcestershire three miles east of Stourbridge and 12 miles southwest of Birmingham. We had a succesful season in 2012 with the club winning 3 trophies. The Saturday 2nd XI won Division One, and the new Midweek Team won a league and cup double. We run three sides on Saturdays, playing in the Worcestershire County League. In 2012, the club's 1st XI finished 9th
in their 1st season back in Division One. Both teams will remain in Division One in their respective leagues for 2013. The 3rd XI finished 4th in Division 8 and will remain in this division in 2013. The 3rd XI currently play their fixtures at Blakedown Sports Ground. In 2012 the club re-entered a local Sunday league where they finished 3rd in Division 3. The league is mixed in with a couple of high profile friendlies which are all day fixtures against I.Zingari and London New Zealand. Also, in 2012 the club entered the Wilden Midweek Cricket League playing on a Wednesday night. The team won 2 trophies winning the Division One title and the 10/10 knockout competition. They will play in the Premier Divison in 2013 and in 2 cup competitions. We are privileged to play at one of the most beautiful grounds in the country voted in 2008 as runner-up in the most picturesque ground competition featured in the Daily Telegraph.(Please see photographs in the photo gallery in 'Community' on the above menu.) We have a thriving Junior section. Age groups start from 8 year olds, and sides run are at Under 10's, 11's, 12's and 14's. The Under 10 and Under 12 age groups practice on Fridays evenings and the older juniors on Monday evenings during the summer. Our clubhouse is a traditional wooden building within the grounds of Hagley Hall and we play here courtesy of the Hall's owner, Viscount Cobham. Within the clubhouse, we have a bar and seating to watch games and good size home and away changing rooms with recently refurbished shower & toilet area. We also have two artificial practice nets within the grounds. It is a very sociable club with a strong emphasis on young players with a large number of senior players having come up through our own youth set-up. However, we are always welcome to new players at all levels. Please feel free to contact any of the committee listed on further pages.
