Hadleigh Tennis Club (Suffolk) is one of the oldest in the country and can trace its origins back to 1881, when an article in the Bury & Norwich Post reported on a match between Hadleigh and Bildeston. New players always welcome - just turn up and play at a Club session as a taster. Members play at club sessions which take place on Tuesday evenings from 6.30 and Sunday mornings from 9.30. If you h

Hadleigh tennis club will be holding a fun American Tournament for members, we invite all members to come along and join us for a morning of fun, banter and some good tennis! If you are playing, please arrive early, the tournament will start at 09:30 prompt.

On the coming Easter Sunday members won’t only be playing tennis, we will also be enjoying coffee and hot cross buns, (except the latter won’t be toasted lol). We invite members to join us, whether you are playing or not for a social event.

NEW: COACHING SESSIONS NOW AVAILABLE.
Coaching at Hadleigh Tennis Club is organised and run by our Head Coach Joel McLeod.

Joel is a fully qualified LTA registered coach who has coached a wide range of abilities and ages for many years from adult beginners to juniors as young as 4, Joel has even coached national junior tour level players.

Hadleigh Tennis Club has group sessions available for juniors and adults both beginners and advanced.
One to one sessions are also available.

Hadleigh Tennis Club members enjoyed their annual President's day tournament combining entertaining and competitive tennis with a challenging tennis related quiz whilst enjoying some fine "finger food". The end result was very close, with Sandy just pipping Sarah on points to win the trophy this year. Congratulations to you both!

Hadleigh Tennis club will be holding an Open Day on Saturday 21st June from 10am to 2pm. There will be coaching for different age groups available on the day, but these must be pre-booked by contacting Tom the coach directly so that the groups are coordinated. We welcome all comers and members will be there to answer any questions that you may have.

Following some outstanding tennis from both teams, Hadleigh emerged victorious in both the Gentleman's and Ladies' tennis matches to reclaim the "Challenge" trophies from Bildeston Tennis club and bring them back home! The men winning all of their 3 matches conclusively and the Ladies winning two to one in a nail biting finish which went to a tie-break, with Hadleigh winning that 7-5. Following the matches, there was a chance to chat and relax with a lovely buffet and refreshments laid on by the home team. We look forward to next year, when Hadleigh will be the home team and looking to retain the trophies again.

Following plenty of tennis, with many very close results, the President's day tournament 2024 finished with Jonathon in first place, but closely followed by Carol. Once play was finished, there were plenty of refreshments and the chance to talk about the "point that got away", before the trophy and prizes were awarded. Thanks Peter for organising the event and all who took part in making the event the success that it was!
