Wing Chun is a martial art that is composed of 3 open hand forms, Sil Lim Tao, Chum Kiu, and Biu Jee.

1. Sil Lim Tao: This is the fundamental form of Wing Chun that trains the basic skills and foundation of the system. It is composed of over 100 moves and teaches the basics of footwork, body structure, hand movements, and breath control.

2. Chum Kiu: This form is the second in the Wing Chun system and focuses on developing balance, coordination, and power. It introduces the use of basic kick techniques and mobility.

3. Biu Jee: This form is the third and final form of Wing Chun. It is designed to teach the practitioner how to defend against multiple attackers and how to use the techniques from the other forms in a real-life situation.

MKF HQ Southend UPDATE on the new ‘tier system’ the Government has put in place.
To confirm: this DOES NOT EFFECT our classes 😁 In all 3 tiers we can continue as we are because:a) ‘martial arts classes’ are not a ‘social event’b)Meridian Kung Fu HQ is already a ‘covid secure’ environment with full protocols of cleaning and social distancing in place accompanied with detailed risk assessments.So, we continue to maintain our "Gold standard" level of customer service.
