A great year for Cardigan Squash Club as we continue to go from strength to strength.

Our B team won Pembrokeshire Div 2 and our A team won Pembrokeshire Div 1. A fantastic result that we should be proud of considering where we have come from just a few years ago.

Looking forward to next season starting in the Autumn already, and trying to get a third team into the league. Watch this space.

Another great week for Cardigan.

The A team beat Teifi 20-6, which is a great win for us as they are our main rivals for the title this year. The table now makes for very good viewing!

The Bs also won and are now back at the top of DIV 2!

Great results for both teams this week. Two comfortable wins and that takes us both to the top of our respective divisions. Top effort 💪💪

No post last week so a bumper update for you this weekend

A team: Last week we were away to Teifi, which is always an enjoyable, close match, with Teifi and ourselves fighting for the top spot this year. Both sides were not at full strength so any advantage was neutralised and it was a very close match. Teifi just sneaked it in the last game but it could have gone either way.

This week was the start of several home games, after having been on the road for several weeks. I am pleased to say we bounced back well and beat Fishguard fairly comfortably.

B team: The B team have had a great couple of weeks, having won both their games against Narberth B and Fishguard B. It is extremely tight at the top of DIV 2 with both us and Narbeth A on 78 pts after 5 games!

Just the one match this week for Cardigan, with the Bs postponing their game to the end of the season. An excellent result for the As though. A perfect 5-0!

Another good week for the two Cardigan teams. Cardigan A were playing Fishguard A away and Cardigan B were hosting Fishguard B. I am very pleased to say that we won both! Some really good matches in there and a special shout out to Kev Matthews for a fantastic and at times interesting (you had to be there) string 1 match. Always a close one. You'll get him next time when they come to us.

This week the As are away to Pembroke on Thu night, and are looking to close the gap to Teifi at the top of the league. The Bs host Narbeth A, again on Thursday. Everyone is very welcome to come down and support!

The Pembrokeshire league has started back up again for the spring season and I am pleased to say both teams have got off to a good start.

The A team unfortunately had to take a walkover for their first game and had a tough second match against last year's winners: Teifi, ending in 9-16 loss but with some very good games.

The B team secured a comfortable win last week against Narbeth B (19-7), bouncing back well from a tough start against Narbeth A, where we lost 5-17.

Solids starts by both and it is very tight at the top. Onwards...
