Members of BMF, Peter C, Paul G, Rob C, Tim J Rich Y, Ülle M & Katrina R took part in The Lap Windermere at the weekend. 75km/47mile single lap of the Lake!!
Everyone completed the challenge successfully & have raised just over £4500.00 for our chosen charities.
Everyone of us had to dig deep at some point on this journey. But the physical and the mental resilience coached into you over time as part of a BMF group played a big part in completing this event.
Each of the team had to dig deep to complete the route. We know that each member had to train hard before the big weekend 💪

The team at BMF would like to say a massive well done to everyone that took part in the event 💪💪

Dean is still a current serving soldier in the Army as a Physical Training Instructor in the Royal Army Physical Training Corps (RAPTC). He started his career in the Royal Green Jackets before transferring to the (RAPTC) where he went on to manage his own gyms and the physical fitness of up to 750 soldiers. During this time Dean deployed on several Operational Tours including Northern Ireland, Bosnia and Afghanistan.

Dean became a BMF instructor in 2009 were he was the Park Manager of BMF Bath before becoming Park Manager of BMF Weybridge late last year.

“I get great satisfaction in taking outdoor fitness classes for the variety of members we have. They are a joy to teach, encourage and motivate to get the best from them and the classes I provide. I love the BMF family community that outdoor fitness creates, by taking everyone's barriers down on a cold wet night.”

Not only is Dean a level 3 PT but he is also a swim instructor, UK Athletics coach, Boxing Referee and TRX Resistance Training instructor.

He loves all sports, weight training and circuits. He is also a devoted Husband and Father to two little girls. During the weekend he can be found cycling or walking in Surrey hills, and is usually camping with his wife and daughters in the New Forest or Lake District.
