Founded in 1886 by Colonel W Bannatyne, Major W Pontifex and Mr E L Hooper, Guildford Golf Club is the oldest Club in Surrey! Originally six holes, the course was extended to eighteen holes in 1901 and a new Clubhouse was built on the present site. Situated on Merrow Downs, Guildford Golf Club is a traditional downland course and offers a challenging round that plays longer than its yardage sugges

ts! The views from the course are exceptional and include Guildford Cathedral, the Wembley Arch and the City of London, as well as panoramic views of the Surrey countryside from all holes on the course. As well as offering a demanding but enjoyable course, Guildford Golf Club also has a long history of hosting Golf Societies, Private Functions, Lunches, Weddings, Golf Days, Conferences and Events. Our in-house catering team are happy to provide fixed or bespoke packages to suit your requirements and help make your day a success.

The celebrations don't end when the golf finishes!
Following Captain's Day, members and guests are invited to join our Club Captain Rupert Peters for an enjoyable evening of food, drinks and entertainment at our Captain's Day BBQ.
This year's menu will feature a delicious Greek-style BBQ, priced at £15 per person.
To attend, please sign up via the Table Booking System. Payment will be taken directly from your Competition & Social Account, so please ensure you have sufficient funds available before booking.
When signing up, please include any dietary requirements or allergies in the notes section so that the catering team can accommodate your needs.
Please note that seating will be informal and on a find-your-own basis, helping to create a relaxed and sociable atmosphere for everyone attending.
We are also delighted to welcome Jo Naomi, who will be providing live music throughout the evening and helping make Captain's Day a memorable occasion both on and off the course.
We look forward to seeing as many members as possible for what promises to be a fantastic evening.
