I am Lee Founder of LKFitness Performance Strength Coaching

I have been a multi-sport competitor since a young age and growing up, I was never the biggest kid, but I always enjoyed pushing myself competitively. Studying Sports Science at University gave me a very high level of understanding about how the body works and how you can manipulate it through different type of training methods to improv

e performance. I have been training clients and running my own coaching business now for over 10 years and have trained over 1500 clients. After spending 10 yrs playing rugby I stopped and moved to endurance sports. However, for the past 6 years I have developed a toolbox of strategies to allow me to compete in long distance endurance events like Ironman Triathlons and Marathons despite working over 40 hours per week in the gym training clients. During that time, I have used these tools to help others create equally impressive results without the overwhelm, stress & sacrifice. My mission is to help more people avoid the "bogged down" approach of many fitness approaches and succeed faster by simplifying. I specialise in helping busy people Increase Their Endurance, Get Faster and Get Stronger

FIT TIP

A lot of people overlook the fact that you should put in regular fitness tests throughout your training year and in the run up to an event.

The best way to put in place a test protocol is:

▪️ Pick a flat route that you know well. I prefer the treadmill to be honest - conditions are always the same.
▪️ Pick the same test conditions (no wind, dry, heat/cold etc.)
▪️ Prepare yourself as you would do a race (food, hydration, rest, sleep)
▪️ Make sure your watch is fully charged (this happened to me once and I was not happy to find my watch didn’t record)

If you put the same testing protocols in place then it is reliable, and you can see if you are going in the right direction.

Test regularly, smash your races.
