Due to the JMAC course not running this year, Sensei Arthur Meek 8th Dan Renshi, has kindly agreed to come and teach at the Farnham dojo instead on Sunday 11th October 2026.
Please can all adult students from across our clubs make every effort to attend.

Everyone at the clubs wishes Molly the best of luck as she starts university in early September.
Yesterday was her last days training with us until the New Year, as she's off to Medical School in St Andrews for 6 years.
A top hard working student, who always gives 100% in training and is a pleasure to have at the clubs.

Several Guildford Karate Academy students attended a week long Summer Course in Weston-super-Mare this week, with 3 guest instructors from Japan, Hijikata Sensei, Kawano Sensei, Tanemura Sensei, all old boys of Nihon University karate club
Well done to Anne who passed her 2nd Dan after a tough 5 days training & challenging grading and did the clubs proud.
Guildford Karate Academy runs every Thursday evening at All Saints Church Hall GU2 7QJ.
Kids class (6+ years old) 6.30-7.30pm
Adult/teen class 7.30-9.00pm.
New students always welcome, first lesson is free.

Students from Guildford Karate Academy, joined over 200 other committed karate practitioners in Paris. France at the weekend, where Wado-Ryu Grandmaster Hironori Otsuka III, conducted a 3 day seminar.
The course concentrated on fundamental techniques & improving body movement.
Our Guildford class runs every Thursday evening at All Saints Church Hall GU2 7QJ in Onslow.
18.30-19.30 children's class
19.30-21.00 adults & teens class.

Last week was exactly 20 years ago that we hosted a visiting group of Wado karate students from Tokyo, Japan for the evening, at our Haslemere dojo.
We did some demos, so did they and we then trained together for a couple of hours together.
A great evening...this short Idori demo was a crowd pleaser!
We train every Thursday evening at All Saints Church Hall, GU2 7QJ.

In 2006 a group of Japanese karateka from Japan came to England and gave a demonstration at the Haslemere karate club during their week long stay.This video ...

An excellent 5 days of intense training at the Winter Course in Guildford this last week.
Lovely to see & train again with our Wado family from so many countries.
The clubs had 3 students taking 2nd Dan at the end of the course.
Sadly Tom & Greg didn't make the grade this time, but congratulations to Nick who passed at the second attempt.
Well done for taking on the challenge gents, and thanks to all from the clubs who attended during the week and the instructors for their knowledge. 🙏👌👍👏

We always used to say nobody fails their red belt...12 years ago, Luke as a 6 year old kid, was the first who actually did!
Last night aged 18, he passed his 3rd kyu brown belt with flying colours.
He showed great technique and his karate couldn't be more different now! 👊

The clubs hosted the Wado Karate Academy New Years training on Sunday, with Arthur Meek 8th Dan Sensei coaching on behalf of Shiomitsu Sensei 9th Dan Hanshi.
Our Guildford class reopens tomorrow at All Saints Church Hall, Vicarage Gate, GU2 7QJ
Anyone interested in starting traditional karate can come and try a session for free any Thursday evening.
Children's class 6.30-7.30pm (6 plus years old)
Adult and teens class 7.30-9.00pm.
