As the seasons change, so does the work required to keep the golf course in peak condition.

This week, the team has been scarifying the tees and approaches, followed by overseeding. This process will help re-establish grass lost during the recent drought and heatwave before the winter weather sets in.

Today on International Thank a Greenkeeper Day we celebrate our brilliant greenkeepers.

Led by Nathan, our head greenkeeper, alongside Kieron, Joe, Milo and Harrison, the team work year round in all weathers and often before most of us have woken up, to make sure the course is ready for everyone to enjoy.

Often behind the scenes, it’s their dedication to keeping the course in excellent condition that shapes every single round played at Sutton Green. Thank you!

BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND 🎉

The long August weekend is almost here! To celebrate we’ve reduced all green fees across the Bank Holiday Monday so you can make the most of more time to spend on the fairways.

The greens have recovered incredibly well following last week’s maintenance work! With the course now fully open, we’re looking forward to welcoming all visitors this weekend. ⛳️

A quiet moment captured last Sunday morning just as the course began to come alive, one of our greenkeepers finishing up mowing the 18th green before the first group teed off, just one of the many daily tasks that keeps the course in top condition.

This week the work continues with important maintenance taking place, as a result all green fees are reduced with £10 discount on peak bookings.

Looking down on the 7th green

Hole 7 | Par 5

The longest hole on the course demands accuracy from start to finish, with a tree-lined fairway leading to a green guarded by firs.

Out of bounds runs down most of the left side, and the approach shot calls for precision into a well-defended green.

Club selection is key - this is the longest green on the course, but also one of the narrowest.

This is what summer evenings on the course look like. ⛳️

With extended summer hours there’s time to tee off after work, so you can unwind from the day in peaceful surroundings - with bookings available until almost 6pm for members and visitors. For those who simply want to relax and enjoy the view our bar and terrace are open until 9pm.
