โ A Boundary Doesnโt Become More Valid Because You Give a Five-Minute Explanation ๐
As mums, itโs easy to feel like we need to justify every โno.โ But your boundary doesnโt need a long explanation to be valid. Youโre allowed to protect your time, energy, and wellbeing without writing an essay about why. ๐ฑ
Remember:
๐ โNoโ is enough โ you donโt need permission to set a boundary
๐ฌ Keep it simple โ โThat doesnโt work for me.โ
โค๏ธ You can be kind and firm โ boundaries donโt have to come with anger
๐ธ Guilt doesnโt mean youโre wrong โ it often means youโre doing something new
โจ Your needs matter too โ even when others donโt understand them
Try these simple phrases:
๐ฌ โIโm not able to do that.โ
๐ โThat doesnโt work for me right now.โ
๐งโ๏ธ โI need some time for myself.โ
โ โNo, but thank you for asking.โ
You donโt have to convince someone to respect your boundary. A healthy boundary is about what *you* are willing to accept, give, or do. ๐
Choosing yourself isnโt selfish. Sometimes, itโs simply healthy. ๐
