There's nothing quite like a brand new board day 😍

James joined me for his first formal SUP lesson, complete with his shiny new Red Equipment paddleboard and kit from Snowdonia Watersports

The session was all about building strong foundations from how to stand up safely, balance, paddle technique, turning, and he made brilliant progress throughout.

It was great to welcome Beckie back after joining me for a lesson last year, this time bringing Craig and Adrian along for the adventure.

Once we revisited the basics, it was time to step things up! We tackled funky footwork, step-back turns, and, of course... there was plenty of unexpected (and expected!) swimming along the way!

The best way to learn? Push your comfort zone, have a laugh, and don't be afraid to fall in. Every splash is part of the journey!

Thanks for another fantastic session – we can't wait to see you back in a few weeks.

"I've always wanted to try SUP, and I actually did it!". Another bucket list moment ticked off! 🙌

This was Siân's very first paddleboarding lesson, stepping outside the comfort zone and embracing a new challenge from the very start.

Sometimes all it takes is that first step... or in this case, that first paddle!

Thanks for joining me, Siân. I hope this is just the beginning of your SUP journey.

A pleasure welcoming Andy and James for a private father-and-son session. From mastering the fundamentals and building confidence, it was a session full of progress and unforgettable views.

Do you remember your first go? 🙌
Julia came for a 1-to-1 session to experience SUP for the very first time.

We took things at a relaxed pace, focusing on all the basics and building confidence as we went. Before long, Julia was up, paddling and looking completely at home on the water.

Such a lovely session and a great reminder that you really don’t need any previous experience to give SUP a go.

Well done, Julia – brilliant first session! 💙

Two years since his first intro lesson and Mark is back for a new series of 1-2-1 sessions to grow his confidence on the water 🌊 He threw himself into this session and enjoyed every moment being back out paddling focusing on balance, stance, and forward paddling. Amazing to see him quickly finding his water feet again 🙌
Well done Mark – onwards now to our future sessions and more progress! 👏

This week was all about firsts for Laura and Isla who took to the water for the very first time. What started with a few games with aims with smiles all around, and before long they were gliding on their feet together side by side discovering the magic of paddleboarding! A new adventure and the start of many more SUP memories together. Well done both!!
Roedd yr wythnos yma yn gyfle cyntaf i Laura ac Isla yn rhoi cais ar badlfyrddio. Mewn dim roedd y ddwy yn wen o glust i glust, a chyn bo hir roeddent yn gleidio ar eu traed ochr yn ochr yn darganfod hud padlfyrddio!

Holiday adventures in the mountains 🌊✨ Leila has travelled all the way from the US and Simon from London who were in the area for some holiday adventures. They booked a private guided tour exploring the beauty of Eryri by SUP and we had a perfect day of paddleboarding, stunning mountain views, and learning lots about the local history. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Back for More – Thomas-Carter Family’s 4th Visit! 🏞
I was thrilled to welcome the Thomas-Carter family back for their fourth year with P***o SUP recently! This time, they enjoyed a guided lake tour of Llyn Padarn, visiting the top beauty spots and soaking up a splash of local history. From the ancient Castell Dolbadarn to the fascinating stories about Dinowrig quarry as we paused for hot chocolate and Welsh cakes by the National Slate Museum. It was an adventure full of beautiful views, rich heritage, not forgetting some SUP games.
Already looking forward to year five! 💙

Mark's first SUP lesson

Yesterday, Mark swapped solid ground and took on his very first paddleboarding lesson! From wobbly starts he quickly found his balance and mastered the basics with determination and big smiles.
Huge thanks to Mark for joining me - look forward to an adventure tour with the family next time!
