🏆 Parents’ Player of the Match Maisy 🏆

It’s hard to disagree with this one after scoring FIVE goals this morning 🔥

But Maisy’s performance was about much more than the goals. She showed a real presence all over the pitch, constantly looking to recycle possession and keep us playing 👌⚽️

Her vision was excellent, regularly picking out opportunities to release our wide players and help us stretch the pitch. She was strong in possession, composed under pressure and showed plenty of determination throughout 💪

Add in some beautiful finishing and five goals, and it’s easy to see why the parents selected Maisy for their Player of the Match 👏🌟

A huge well done to our Player of the Match, Ruby 👏

Ruby played the majority of her game time at right back this morning, where she was absolutely fantastic. Pacey, calm and composed, she made some important clearances and was always looking to get us moving forward and start attacks 💪

It’s been quite some time since Ruby found herself on the scoresheet… but today was the day that changed 😍⚽️

Following a promise from Dad involving a dog, we decided to give Ruby a go up front 👀 Sorry Scott 😇🐾
Ruby was picked out with a wonderful through ball and she raced through Broughton's defence, leaving herself one-on-one with the keeper 🔥

As calm and composed as you'll ever see Ruby beautifully slotted the ball into the bottom-left corner polishing off a great performance ⚽️🔥

A fantastic performance from Ruby and a thoroughly deserved Player of the Match award 👏🌟

Here's what Sam our manager had to say about the game 🗣️💬

"A fantastic opening game of the season for the girls, with a convincing and disciplined performance from start to finish👏

There were lots of positives to take from the game, with the girls showing great attitude, teamwork and commitment. It’s a really encouraging start and gives us plenty to build on 🤜🤛

With no game next weekend, we’ve got four training sessions to work hard, focus on the details and iron out a few areas of our performance 💪

A special mention for the way the game was played respectful, competitive and in great spirits from both teams. It’s always an enjoyable game against Broughton Ravers U16 Girls, and we look forward to the next one.
