It was great to have dec spelman and his team over last week for rounds with our squad and development boxers.

Some really good and competitive sparring as we prepare for a busy few months of bouts, box cups and tournaments.

It was a good experience for our newly registered boxers taking part in their first inter club sparring.

It was great to have one of the UK’s most decorated female fighters, three-weight world champion Terri Harper, in the gym today.

Terri and her coach, Paul Durose, are using The Trin Boxing Gym as they prepare for Terri’s next fight on the MVP show in Birmingham, where she takes on Miranda Reyes of the USA.

Terri became only the second British female boxer in history, behind Nicola Adams, to win a major world championship when she captured the WBC Super-Featherweight title in 2020.

It was a pleasure to have them both in the gym, and we wish Terri and Paul all the best for the upcoming fight! 🥊

A great way to round off the season by treating our boxers and coaches to an end of season go-karting championship 🏎️🏁

A bit of healthy competition away from the gym, with plenty of close racing and good laughs.

🥊 What a season. What a night! 🏆

On Saturday we celebrated our first full season back at The Trin with our Annual Awards Event, recognising the incredible achievements of all our boxers.

🏆 15 Championship wins from 18 bouts

Congratulations to all of our Squad, new Development Boxers, those training in our Youth Academy and BoxFit classes, with every member receiving a medal to celebrate another fantastic season.

Kirsty’s attempt to regain the Commonwealth title last night ended in defeat to new champion Jade Pearce.

The bout was fought at an elite level and is already being spoken about as a potential Fight of the Year contender.

Kirsty boxed well throughout and remained disciplined, but it was Pearce’s higher work rate that ultimately swayed the judges.

We are incredibly proud of Kirsty and everything she has achieved across her career.

Congratulations to Jade Pearce and her team on the victory, and thank you for the hospitality and looking after us over the weekend.

Kirsty will box for the vacant Commonwealth Title tonight against unbeaten talent Jade Pearce in her hometown of Middlesborough.

Both fighters have successfully made the Super Featherweight limit at the official weigh-in.

The fight is billed as “Repeat or Revenge”, as Kirsty Hill and Jade Pearce prepare to renew their rivalry with the Commonwealth title on the line.

Their first encounter was a memorable battle, with Jade emerging victorious in a contest that went on to win Midlands Fight of the Year.

Now, Kirsty has the opportunity to settle the score, while Pearce looks to prove that history will repeat itself.

The stage is set, the hard work is done, and everything is on the line as these two fighters go toe-to-toe once again for Commonwealth honours.

Our team of seven boxers will be heading to Sweden in October to compete in this fantastic tournament.

This is just one of many tournaments we have lined up for next season as we continue to give our boxers opportunities to develop, gain experience, and test themselves against top competition.
