TRUST in YOUR process!

This was our topic of the session tonight, sounds like a simple throw away comment, but maybe the biggest impact!

As coaches, we COACH players on HOW & WHY, but do we let the players decide?

Tonight was corners and penalties, having that PLAYER lead approach in order to get the result we want. Tonight was MY process, hopefully the players take something from that and develop their own!

HOMEWORK-

Watch professional players who take corners or penalties, what do they do before they strike the ball, what is their PROCESS!

Weekly Roundup!

Monday Night- Team Training! Strong session on Monday Night working on keeping the ball in tight spaces with a view to move to create chances, working more on the principle of getting that half yard to get a shot off!

Thursday Night- after a delay in getting the new kits, some of the team had a chance to showcase them in an Lincs FA referee workshop, the team gave a strong account of themselves against a top team from the year below, a difference in rule sets played some confusion however it’s game time for some which is the key ahead of going into a couple of weekends off! 🫡

Back to training Monday night, the team will be looking at some S&Q drills and passing patterns 💪

This team! 🫡

Kicked off our league campaign with a convincing win over Immingham today, the last few weeks at training have been about moving the ball quickly getting into attack focused areas.

With the team 6-0 up at half time, the training looked like it had been paying off..

Immingham set up more defensive in the second half not giving the warriors time to build, quick counter attacks let them back into the game slotting home 2 goals of their own.

The warriors were unable to beat the Immingham back line despite coming close a few times!

Players of the Day!

Parents went to Romeo, slotting home 4 of the 6 goals and grabbing assists made him stand out 🫡

Coaches went to Lily, great communication on the pitch no matter what position she played! 💪

Well done Warriors! Tomorrow at training we will look at breaking down a defensive system in other ways & looking at triggers of when to use each one!

Weekly roundup!

Monday saw the team training at Humberston, working on a variety of things, we kicked off with a small tactical session looking at some set ups for the coming season following on with corner work!

Friday night over at Mount Pleasant I was joined by just 3 players, given the numbers it was all about finishing, unopposed, under pressure, dealing with difficult deliveries & getting that half yard to a shot off at goal!

Sunday, no fixture for us today but a shoutout to Coach Paul SMASHING a half marathon over in Beverley on quite a hilly course finishing in 2hours dead!💪

Well done everyone some quality work on display this week! Roll on tomorrow 💪
