Good evening, I hope you are all well. I had a total hip replacement 16 day ago, I'm healing well and as soon as physically possible I will return to training/teaching.

If you'd like to follow my journey I am posting it on a YouTube channel of mine and isn't under Phoenix as it'll be about more that just martial arts as my healing progresses.

Once my right hip is healed enough I should be going in for my left to be replaced also then I will be back to full potential for the first time since I was 28.

From the very beginning of Phoenix my hips were on borrowed time, I was offered false hips in 2014 but declined as that would have been the end of my martial arts career due to the long list of limitations but now with modern hips there are no limitations.

It may take time to heal but this Phoenix will rise again!

It's been a pleasure training with you over the last year and it's unfortunate that I had to stop training until I've had surgery.

Good morning, I hope you are well. Tonight's classes will be the last for a while, I have never wanted to stop but at present I don't have a choice. I have preexisting injuries that are causing me lots of pain and require surgery to make it more barrable and improve my range of motion as I am becoming more limited every day.

As soon as I have had my surgery I'll be back training, I am deeply sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Classes held at Grendon Village Hall on main road in Grendon.

Good morning, I hope you are well and enjoying this beautiful day. This coming Monday will be the last class for a while as I need surgery 😒

This decision hasn't come easy, but due to pain I am unable to do a lot of stuff and feel it's best I wait till after surgery before continuing to train/teach.

As soon as I am able I will be back, for the last session on Monday please bring a gum shield if you have one. Let's have some fun 😁
