As the dust settles on an epic 2025, it’s time to reflect on what a year it was!!!🔥🔥🔥

On a personal level, it was great to see some of the guys from Greenock make their debut fighting for ICO Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and absolutely smashing it!!!!
The squad sessions, grading weekends and the end of year session too…..every single one testing you in every sense of the word and bringing their own challenges 🙌🏻☺️
The highlight was definitely the ICO World Championships in wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 seeing all that hard work being put to the test and the team spirit was something special……most feared and respected small country in the world!! Fact …
All made possible under the best coaches in the country!!

Absolutely buzzing for 2026 and what it holds!!
More tournaments, more fight nights!!
Worlds ……Europeans……MTGP!!!
Shaping up to be epic!!

But it all starts in the gym!!!!
Putting in the hard yards week in week out…
There is no secret sauce in this game, it’s all down to hard work and dedication to the sport!!
Even if you have no plans to compete or fight, that’s ok too ……
What we do, the way we train……it makes you a champion in life and instills a winning mindset coupled with a healthy way of life!!!
But don’t take my word for it…..
Take that first step and come along and try it for yourself……the first session is FREE!!!
It could be that thing you have been looking for or something you think your child/children would excel in…..

As we look to finish this year on a high, we also already have an eye on what’s to come next year!!!
Tournaments in Ireland, England , wales and in Scotland …….the ICO World Championships in France 🇫🇷…..even more fight nights with the inclusion of MTGP Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

But we also look forward to smashing the goals for the guys that don’t want to compete😊
The guys that show up, train alongside those that do compete, and smash their fitness goals and develop as martial artists …..
No one gets left behind…..

On Wednesday nights we start our adults session with circuits🔥🔥🔥

These range from full bodyweight circuits all the way through 10 station amrap workouts getting the equipment involved….
Great for explosive movement, strength and conditioning and general all round fitness!🙌🏻
Everything is sport specific to what we do…..

So whether you are training for fights or just getting that fitness in, everyone is catered for…

What a year this has been so far 🔥🔥🔥

Just reflecting on some of our exploits this year and the amazing experiences we have had ….
Travelling around the country under the ICO Scotland banner, taking part in the 4 nations series, fight nights, gradings!!!! It’s been the busiest year to date competing wise…..

But also reflecting on how awesome our classes have been too……
Seeing new students come through the door to then watching the same students a month or so down the line and how much they have improved already👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

What we strive for at our club is to build and be part of a larger community……forming friendships through our fellow Scottish clubs and clubs across the nation! All working together to be part of something special …..
Our classes give students a sense of purpose, helping them grow into amazing individuals from our kids , juniors all the way up to our adults !! Teaching them core values and not just how to punch and kick, our sport is unlike any other……

All of our classes are beginner friendly and everyone is welcome……
From those just wanting to get fit, learn how to defend themselves or just looking for a hobbie over the coming colder months…..
We cater for all levels!!!

ADULTS CLASSES!!!!

As always , we are looking to add to our team in the adults programme🙌🏻

Always hear people saying stuff like “I need to get to the gym first to get my fitness up” or “it’s quite intimidating walking into a martial arts gym”…….
That’s just two examples but let’s focus on them for a minute!!!

You don’t have to be fit to join, but you do have to join to get fit🤷🏼‍♂️
We cover loads of fitness from our circuits to some naughty bag rounds, not just thrown together so that they are hard, but well thought out sport specific training that will target certain areas🤩

Also yes, it can be quite intimidating walking into a gym for the first time ……but that soon fizzles away when you meet the team and realise it’s not all fighters and juice heads , but just normal people from all types of backgrounds……all with a common goal!! To get that 1% better or fitter than their last session🤷🏼‍♂️

Training with us is what you want it to be, a hobbie or an obsession?! We have you covered

So just like that it’s the summer holidays!!!🔥🤩
6 whole weeks of no school….😮

But here at PKA Greenock, we don’t stop!!!

We will be running for the whole of the summer….
So what better a time to get your kids into something that will genuinely change their lives for the better🤷🏼‍♂️
We have space available for our kids classes that run 3 days a week…..
You would be amazed at what can be achieved in that short space of time !!!

✅ general fitness and wellbeing
✅ teamwork
✅ discipline
✅ problem solving
✅ skill development

We aim to produce mentally and physically robust individuals, not just for martial arts…..but for life!!

It will be your greatest investment towards their future! 🤩

Been a while since I posted on here 🤷🏼‍♂️😁

This year already has been our busiest year yet, since we started back after Christmas it’s been non stop……from classes and gradings to fight nights and tournaments!! It’s been an amazing journey and we aren’t even half way through the year!!!
The photos I’ve shared are from the past couple of weeks where we were at the ICO 4 nations second leg in wales and also the ICO northern open in Fraserburgh……some amazing results over the course but what has blown me away is how the team have bonded, gyms from all over Scotland gelling together to create a magical but ferocious team that has the world standing up and taking notice🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
So that’s pretty much how we spent our Easter break😂🤷🏼‍♂️

Now it’s time to go back to the gym and get ready for some more busy months to come ….
We are opening spaces in both our kids and adults programs, chance for you or your child to embark on an epic adventure that will shape their future……both mentally and physically!!
All our classes are beginner friendly and it would be awesome to have you along!!

ADULTS CLASSES!!!

Buzzing to get back after it!!!
Our adults classes are a great blend of juniors, ladies and men……all working together, no egos, no heroes!! Just everyone getting in and helping each other get that 1% better than their last class🙌🏻
From casual trainers, people just wanting to get fit to those that aim for the skies and get themselves onto our fight team and the ICO national team🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
The possibilities are endless but the opportunities are there……all down to how hard you want to push!!

These classes run Monday , Wednesday and Friday from 6-7.30pm……over the course we cover loads , from bagwork to circuits, drilling to controlled light sparring!
No matter your goals, we leave no one behind and we push together as a TEAM!!!
All of these classes are beginner friendly so why not give it a try?! First class is FREE anyway …

KIDS CLASSES!!!!

Buzzing to get 2025 up and running on the 6th January !!!!

Our kids classes are a brilliant mix of getting them to work hard but also have a bit of fun in the process…..making them both physically and mentally robust aswell as remembering that they are still children!! But these children will be adults before you know it so what we do is basically a watered down version of what our juniors and adults get up to aswell😉

Don’t just keep them busy, present them with an obsession that will stay with them for life

As we prepare to bring 2024 to a close, we reflect on what an amazing year it’s been for punisher kickboxing academy!!!

From Scottish tournaments to travelling the country……from our home shows “the takeover fight series” to MTGP!!! Becoming the new and improved ICO Scotland to smashing our debut at the world championships in Frankfurt !!!
It’s been a busy year……

But I’d like to put a shout out to our members that don’t fancy a punch up…..
The guys that show up week in week out, that just come for the banter and the classes!! You guys smashed it aswell!!!

We aren’t just a fighting gym, we are a family orientated gym too…….from folk that just want to get fit, lose some weight , learn a martial arts system that’s tried and tested at a high level to those that do fancy pushing themselves out of their comfort zone again the best in the country and the world !!!
No one get treated any different……we are all PKA!!!! And what a network we have , making new friends all over the country…

Loads in the pipeline for the new year already and I can’t wait……some buzz this game!!
As usual , we are opening spaces for both our kids and adults programs ……so why not come along and see where your journey takes you?!
Our classes resume on Monday 6th January !!
