*UPDATE*
So right now I'm hovering around the 105kg mark (231lbs 16.5 Stone). I feel even looking at my pictures I look more... for lack of a better word..bloated πŸ˜‚ but I'm not unhappy with how I look
My strength is so noticeably going up and it feels good. Good to know that all the food is going to the right places and doing the right things
The hardest part at the moment is the food lol. Not hard as in a can't do it but hard as in if you f**k up the timing of one of your meals, the knock on effect is jarring cause then its eat later into the day or eat meals closer together which is tough cause hunger is already low. One thing I won't do anymore is mix 2 meals into one because I have already been reprimanded for doing that πŸ˜…
The reason I get all my food in and all my training done is because the only way for me to make sure I do everything I'm supposed to is by treating this like a job. Some times I love it, sometimes I hate it but regardless I'm there and I do what my boss (coach) tells me to do.

I was looking back through holiday photos earlier and this one stood out to me for kind of a sad reason lol
All my life as a kid, a teenager and even into adulthood, I've been the kind of person that would never have his top off. Not on holiday, not in the summer...barely even infront of my family at family bbqs or whatever. I was just too embarrassed, not confident and I suppose years of being a fat kid and picked on for it just stuck with me.
I genuinely never felt confident enough to be comfortable until I really turned my health and fitness hobby into a lifestyle. To some that sounds very dramatic, and at first yes it's tough to adjust to new habits etc but that's the case for everything new. It is by far the best decision I ever made. I feel better, sleep better, look better, function better. All just because I exercise and eat well
Even on this holiday I was 10 days post comp and still didn't feel like I should have my top off and my mrs took this whilst I was walking infront of her to show me what other people are seeing compared to what I think they're seeing.... which in my mind is a muffin top hanging over my waist band and back covered in fat πŸ₯²

*Appreciation post*
Having been ill the last could days it's really made me realise how selfless and really how much this woman does for me. Even when I'm not sick she cannot do enough and it's like she enjoys it 😭
We met under not the nicest circumstances but I would go through all of it again if I knew she was waiting at the end of it cause she is absolutely worth all the s**t I've had to put up with
She got thrown in at the deep end and met me at the end of an off season straight into a prep so had to put up with "I'm so full" "I'm so hungry" "I'm guna be late I need to do cardio" "I can't see you tonight I'm going to the gym" and the standard just being agitated and irritated at anything and everything. None of this was enough to reaffirm her previous stance of "I'd never get with a gym guy" πŸ˜‚. Day after day I feel blessed to have this girl in my life. I don't know what I did to deserve it but I'll take it man....even if there is pickled cauliflower in my fridge πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

So just over 6 weeks post show and currently sitting (as of this morning) at 103kg. Holding on to condition for dear life at the moment.
I did feel a little bloated this morning as yesterday was a rest day and I've never quite figured it out by even though there's less food on a rest day....it always feels like more πŸ˜…
Food is around the 3800cal mark and has been since about a week after the show and we've just been holding that until the blood work is done (today hopefully) then I'm sure the food will start to push up
I'm quite happy with where I'm at. I'm sure this time last year I didn't look or feel like this post show and the way my off season ended (due to personal life) had me looking like a whole bag of s**t. This year has been very different and as usual coach is on the money with every decision he makes. Could not be in safer hands

The number 1 issue I see most people faced with is their diet
That doesn't mean that's all you need to change to fix things. It's a number of things all working together that will give you the absolute best results
And the more rigorous and consistent you are with your routine, the sooner you will get those results
If you don't believe me then follow the advice in this post for 6 weeks. Weigh yourself along the way and ofcourse use the mirror and even take pictures to have something to compare to. I guarantee you will get results within 6 weeks.

*1 months difference*
So I did a short story post yesterday on how over looked FOOD is.
These pictures are a month apart (appx 10kg difference) and yes for a couple of days after my show I had some off plan food but for 90% of the last month the only thing that's changed in my setup ISN'T my training, ISN'T a boat load of steroids ISN'T some sort of magic supplements or fad dieting......it IS a higher amount of good, nutritious calories.
Having aggressively dieted down in order to step on stage (the pic on the left was a couple weeks before stage) once you put the additional calories in you don't immediately lose all the muscle you've accrued. Sure there will be some body fat. Sure you will lose some of those striations and lines you dieted so hard for..BUT essentially you will just become a bigger version of yourself.
Ofcourse this isn't sustainable and you soon put on some noticeable body fat but the goal is to try as best you can to control the amount of fat you put on by still training hard and keeping your diet in check.
At the end of the day, it is true what they say, you CANNOT out train a s**tty diet. An that didn't just mean s**t food. It also means not eating enough calories to build/maintain/lose - depending on your goal.

Post Show update:
So not long after the show I shot to 100kg from 92kg. This was just from some off plan eating and living it up a little bit but before I went in holiday I got it under control and dropped to about 98kg.
THEN after holiday I was 102kg but felt OK with it... maybe a little watery but not bad. Once I got home and back on plan set but the wizard that is coach (appx 3800cals) I felt way less bloated and am now currently sitting at 101.5kg. Considering my highest weight last off season was 105kg and I'm already sitting at nearly 102 when I'm still in a health/holding phase....I'm hoping for some big growth this year.
Lifts for the first week of this phase feel good. I felt strong but didn't go too hard... don't want to blow my load too early on. Leaving room for improvement but still pushing hard and heavy.

This holiday was something else
Last day today, currently packing my suitcase and just really feeling thankful for how this year has gone.
I flew out to malaga on my own to meet with her and her family and its been such a great trip. Tough at times as they all speak romanian (being that they are romanian) but they're also all fluent in Spanish so my girl has had to do alot of translating πŸ˜‚.
Her dad is the most unintentionally funny guy I've ever met and that's even with the language barrier. After being around him for the last week I've already experienced "the look" and I don't want to be on the receiving end of it lol and it took abit of trying but I'm pretty sure I've won over her little sister now who is the most jealous little girl I've ever met πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. The whole family are great and this trip has been so fun.
Genuinely can't wait to get back to some routine with my training and my diet. I've not stressed at all and ice cream has been a daily fixture but I made alot of good decisions but I'll do a separate post on that in the next couple of days.
Finally just to add, a week away with my girl has been long over due. She flipped this whole year on its head and has made me a better person in so many ways and the sweetest thing is she doesn't even realise it. I'm a flippin lucky guy to have somebody like that around me and feel truly blessed to have what I have.
