Phenomenal progress from Charlie!

Ive worked with Charlie for sometime, focusing on mindset and consistency.

Early on, Charlie would go through stages of training very well combined with good food…. And then like all of us at some point, get into a rut where the world got on top of us…

This happens to EVERYONE…. But the last 3/4 months, she has been incredible…

Nailing down the food, the training and the consistency. EVERY morning at 5AM without fail, she grafts and trains and then goes to work!

It takes discipline to get that mindset and she has smashed it!!

This is an incredibly special progression to me..

I have known this girl for 15 years…

Kirsty has always yoyo’d!

Up and down, different coaches, different diet fads and nothing seemed to work…

Until now…

We got to the real issue which was understanding food and how it actually works. Balancing consistency and accountability with work and family and keeping her focused when her mindset was at its lowest….

And this girl have achieved so much!

When we first started a few years back, Kirsty would do about 12 minutes of a session and be done. BUT we pushed through, tracking calories , logging workouts and explaining every inch of nutrition, sleep, mindset and training methods to all come down to this moment…

With a staggering weight loss of 7 and half stone (49kg)!!

The final step in the progress is a skin removal procedure to remove the excess skin and show off the shape she has built…
Despite the hate and just to be clear, skin graft surgeries ain't a bad thing, Kirsty has done the work so deserves to reap the rewards. ( we can advise you on this so people cant actually understand how it all works)

For me, seeing Kirsty’s progress and knowing where she was and how much her quality of life, health and lifestyle has improved makes this one of the proudest success stories I have worked with.

I look forward to seeing your fitness journey over the next year. Hyrox won’t know what hit it!

Kirsty said her proudest achievement now is that she can get on a plane without asking for a belt extender… oh and she can now sky dive and do lots of “crazy sh*t”… her words not mine…

Structure is key to progress, and Gem is doing that perfectly!💪��Starting with us back in March, Gemma got the bootcamp lesson of the value of calories, how it effects performance and helps to shape every aspect of a day to day routine.��Whilst she had been tracking before, we fine tuned it slightly to meet her needs and lifestyle and she followed it perfectly.��The weakest area for Gemma was her training before we worked together. Often no structure or consistency with very limited overload potential. We changed that and guess what?? She bossed it!��Sticking to a structure, taking the ideas on board and utilising every rep and set….😂���Yeah she swears at me… allot but its worth it to see how much her physique progressed aswell has her knowledge and understanding with in the gym… 💪

A massive focus to help her mindset was to emphasise on the body shape as opposed to the weight of the scales 💪😎��Looking forward to the next 3 months of GAINZZZ!

If you would have told me 2 years ago that I’d be teaching and delivering lv2/3 PT courses and have quite a bit of interest… I wouldn’t have believed you😂

I originally set up the Lv2/3 qualifications with as a little something to do on the side. Passing on my knowledge and ideas to the next generation to try and help improve an industry that’s actually not very well regulated. I only wanted to take on a few students at a time to be able to balance my students, clients and home life…

But actually, I quite enjoyed doing it… So I am very much looking forward to seeing what this September brings.

This week, we’ve had students taking on assessments and completing coursework.

It’s safe to say, some of the guys and gals coming through will knock the socks off some of the standard that is out there now💪

Hearing the ideas these students have + the knowledge and depth they are going to is going to be really interesting to see their development.

Most of you know this man, Sidders!

He has done fantastic the last 8-10 months dropping a staggering…. (Drum role please)

8 STONE! (50.8 kg)

Now Sids used to hate training and didnt enjoy it, BUT now he is obsessed, training 2-3 times a week, watching his foot and hitting his steps.

The biggest issue with Sids before was his inactivity outside of the gym. But by ramping up his gym sessions and moving more whilst watching his intake. This lad can now do things 10 months ago he would have imagined doing.

Very proud of him and everything he has achieved.

Keep it up buddy

You don’t have to be 100% better in every area. We’re not trying to get our pro cards here…

But being consistent, sticking to a plan and tracking your calories is gonna make that much difference.

Don’t overwhelm yourself…. If you are new aim for 80% better and stricter per week.💪😎 Whilst still enjoying the things you love 💪😎

Cables are a great way of keep tension on the muscle throughout the movement…��But only if it you set up properly. Make sure the cables are in line with the movement you are performing.For instance, the reverse cable fly, One of preferred reverse fly movements purely because the tension and stress you can put on the muscles.��1, Lean slightly into the cable and avoid swinging back on the movement. This ensure a good start and finishing position whilst keep the cables in line with the movement of the muscles��2, Step further away from the cable so you get the full range of motion from the scapula��3, Make sure the cable follows the line of the movement you are trying to create.����For students studying with us:�- Muscle targeted: Primarily the posterior deltoid (rear shoulder). �- Movement pattern: Horizontal abduction of the shoulders. �- Scapular action: During the movement, the shoulder blades (scapula) should retract, squeezing together.

“I want to do pull ups” 💪😎

obviously we’re gonna make this happen for Soph in the next 10 weeks💪

This is something I hear allot, especially about ups and from female gym enthusiasts…

A couple of things you should know about pull ups..
- If you haven’t done them before, they ain’t easy!
- It won’t happen overnight

So here’s a few helpful tips to plan and achieve that goal:
- Assess what you can currently do..
Not many people do this but try the exercise you want to achieve and see if you can. record it and watch back. Yeah it’s probably gonna be a bit scruffy but it’s a starting point.

- Speak to your coach or trainer and ask for timeline
Workout realistically how long it could take based on trying it and make it realistic. your coach will work out the level your currently at and should advise accordingly💪😎

-Build a plan and commit
There are so many ways of performing assisted pull ups and some are better than others. For Soph, using a rack and dropping down to practise full ROM whilst lifting her legs up was a better choice based on the initial assessment.
This replicates the full movement for engagement and starts to teach her to move her body towards and over, rather than away and over
( this is a common mistake with most people)

-Add compound movements based on muscle weakness
Using gym equipment to help build strength to perform a bigger lift is vital. This allows you build strength in areas that could be limiting your final result.

- Reassess and adapt
Not quite going to plan? Once you reviewed, change and make it suitable.

But in all seriousness, Im not worried if you choose me as your PT or someone else..

As long as the trainer meets your needs in designing every thing around your lifestyle.. I’m happy😎

This year is about health and knowledge and if we can teach everyone something about the goals they want to achieve and how to do it, then il see this year as a massive success…

‼️The most important note of this for January new comers to the gym:
It’s January, you don’t have to cut everything out of your diet and give up everything you love because you need a 4 week detox. Get back to your normal habits. Training routinely, eating clean balanced meals and making time for family life… doing that will start to make a difference!💪

Last year, for many people it was about survival, just getting through the busy work days and sorting out the day to day routine…

This year, we move forward focusing on health and growth both in terms of personal, mental and business mindsets

I also didn’t pay for a fancy new mugshot 😂

This really isn't true...

I have been in that position....
Lack of movement, uncomfortable, low fitness and low confidence...

So yes we can help BUT our biggest aim is to teach you more than an average PT would.

By giving you the knowledge and understanding to continue doing it for the rest of your life..

To be clear, I don't really post anything about myself, I want my clients to have the spot light but I think this could be relatable...

Going back to last year, I suffered one of the worst injuries. I broke my ankle, broke a few toes and caused serious damage to my Achilles tendon.

The picture on the left was taken on a 3 week trip to France (Aug 23) and I hated myself. I was more angry at not being able to do anything because my movement was so limited, just as much as being ashamed about how I had let myself go.

My confidence was bad. Clothes didn't fit, exercise was uncomfortable and I developed a very negative attitude because of the situation I had put myself in.

Coming into January 2024, I made a BIG decision to make progress. I had no intentions of dieting every week forever, but to build a plan I could do based on my life, clients and teaching.

I HAVE ONLY tracked calories for a period of 7-9 weeks during the past 24 weeks. I did this in 2 x 4/5 week blocks of solid training and tracking calories. The other times I just focused on keeping exercise levels high and moving whilst keeping my portion control in check.

The biggest point of this is I'm trying to make is I made it realistic to me, and this is what we do on a weekly basis for ALL of our clients.

August 23 - 102.3kg
Jan 24 - 99.1 kg
July 24 - 87kg

In my 13 years of training I can say we have worked with clients ranging from fat loss, transformation sports specific fitness and more.

Yes experience helps massively,

BUT being able to design something relatable to you and your life.. thats the important bit...
